It's difficult to say which is more annoying this morning - the ghastly in-game coaching decisions last night or the absolute f'ing glee people have rushing to trash the team and make them out to be garbage. Maybe it's a tie.
Winning in the NFL is hard. Houston, KC, Minnesota, and Washington all lost or nearly lost to bad teams. I know the panicky/hating fans of this team will still rip the Steelers whenever they lose or struggle, but it really happens to everyone.

Giants just released Daniel Jones. Maybe the Stillers should take a flyer on him? We seem to be good at turning other teams' castoffs (Wilson, Fields) into serviceable QB's.

But then I remember Mitch Trubisky. Ugh.

Daniel Jones sucks. He's in the same tier as KP8.
I'd take our Q3, Allen over him any day of the week.

He's only getting this attention bc he's a 1st round pick. If he was a 5th rounder and put on tape what he's done, he'd be out of the league by now.

Does Khan design gameplans and implement snap counts? I didn't realize this
The guy he brought in to be wr 2 is has as many games with 20 snaps as Skowerk. He brought in a guy who is recovering from torn ACL and the 5th wr for the jets

He is pretty much Fields. He is getting interest because he would be vet minimum and would be a comp pick if he signs as a backup elsewhere

Jones will have better options. SF, Minnesota, and Miami all come to mind as contenders where he'd be no lower than 2nd on the depth chart behind shaky or injury-prone starters.

CFB 25 is orders of magnitude better than Madden.

CFB isn't perfect but it's by far the best sports game EA has released in years.
It really goes to show how just offering a different flavor changes everything. These EA games, which have always been quite stagnant year-after-year, really stagnated into pond scum these past couple generations. If you don't play the microtransaction-laden modes then there's barely any change year to year...and really there's barely and change even in those modes either.

Go a decade between games and suddenly the differences from that game to Madden shine so brightly. I truly hope these games don't become just as rote as the rest, but at the very least recruiting adds a completely different element to the game beyond the Xs & Os gameplay that help it stand out. Recruiting is a legitimate joy, which wasn't always the case in the older ones. Both the gameplay and the more managerial sides are fun, which is far too rare in modern days considering how good many franchise modes were in the PS2/Xbox era.

There's so much that can be improved upon, so I have hope for the next couple iterations at the very least. Nailing sports games on the first try has never really been a thing, and with the scope of modern games it was basically impossible, so CFB has flaws. It's just far easier to look past those flaws compared to games that have had the same flaws for going on decades. That and college football is just mechanically more interesting than pro football. Thankfully the flaws aren't of the game-breaking variety and never really spoiled my fun. Most of my issues with the game were actually issues with their damn TeamBuilder website being unavailable-to-broken for those first few weeks/couple months.

It felt good to like an EA Sports game again, even if the first couple weeks after release were incredibly frustrating for someone trying to set up a TeamBuilder franchise.
