I have no idea when it became cool to hurdle, but all of these SEC guys look like they are deer trying to jump over a fence. Wayyy easier to get hurt when you're IN THE AIR!

that benbaldwin guy is a hack. He claims to be a stats/data guy then uses non-objective shit like PFF grades for his charts. And he's a cowboy's fan.
So what? PFF grades are just an attempt at evaluating a players contribution to production. I get that Steelers fans have a bias because of all the Myles Garrett stuff, but this has nothing to do with PFF.

Not sure I'd call him a "hack". Dude scrapes and publishes NFL play by play data that is used by a lot of the NFL analytics community. All open source and free.

To add to what WW said -

If you don't like him using PFF stats, come up with a better data set and hand it to him.

C'mon, if somebody put our PGT player grades into a graph it wouldn't all of sudden make it meaningful. Literally that's all PFF grades are.

Scrapping actual play-by-play data so that real data scientists can use it is great, sure.

But the charts he puts out on twitter are nonsense.

I have never seen someone have the ability to get balls like TJ...then came Nick Herbig. And the best part, Herbig is such a dog he recovers them also.

Well that ain't a pretty stat.

Some of that has to go on the receivers too. The Ravens game in particular, which makes up a lot of that score, the commentators were complaining non-stop about the lack of scramble from the Steelers receivers. And given the size of the sample, if Washington had read what Wilson wanted to do and got up and got that ball, I'm guessing Wilson would be about 10 spots higher due to that play alone.

Call me crazy but I don't give a crap about that stat. Are people really saying they wouldn't want Herbert or Burrow?

And what determines efficiency? Did they gain yards either running or passing after "avoiding" a sack?

I mean, if your Oline does well your QB will not have to avoid a sack........
