There are no perfect teams, ever, no point in expecting it
Empoleon8771 is a young uneducated Steelers fan who just started watching football in 2021. He wouldn't even be able to point out Hines Ward or Jerome Bettis in a police lineup. Please excuse his misinformed posts.:biglaugh:

That was my point though? I was arguing against someone saying "they're not a real contender because they only beat the Ravens due to missed field goals and turnovers". My point is that the NFL is generally shitty right now, so there are no "perfect" teams out there.

Mr Jeff Jimerson is just an illiterate that has ended up on most ignore lists on here because he's an absolute dunce.

Unrelated to the Steelers but seeing the 49ers lose after that whole Aiyuk drama makes me feel so happy. Lost 20-17 to Seattle today and are now sitting at 5-5.

Granted Aiyuk is out with a torn ACL right now, but I feel like he's looking pretty dumb for picking the 49ers over the Steelers.

Payton WIlson and Herbig have this future LB corps looking good. Unbelievable talents.

Fields has to have better Field awareness to get that 1st down on that run if he's going to be deployed in that fashion. He had the fashion to endear himself to PGH there and I know the bar I was at, the crowd was less than pleased.

Russ did enough. He holds on to the ball a long time, but that brings us to our biggest issue - no one open. I don't know why Williams wasn't deployed more today, or if he was just getting shut down.

I'm really not sure what to do about Jones. Dan Moore is the LT, but now they probably can't re-sign him. This situation has kind of shifted towards worst case.

I can kind of chalk it up to just being a typical Steelers/Ravens slogfest but this game also illustrated my biggest concern that I think will prevent this team from being a legit contender when all is said and done. The passing game right now is just too reliant on these Russ moon balls. When they don’t hit or the defense takes them away, things are just ugly.

The defense is absolutely elite though.

I think you re-sign Moore unless Moore wants more than 2 years, otherwise you just put Jones at LT and deal with it. Let's not forget that Moore himself was trash for his first 3 years and the Steelers survived with him there.

In a perfect world, you re-sign Moore to a 2 year, $10-$12 million a year deal and have Jones as your backup swing tackle. If Moore won't take that, I think you just plan on Jones being the starting LT and bring in a legit veteran LT that can start if Jones is a liability. The rest of the OL should be so strong that I don't think it's a problem to have a weak link at LT.

You are clearly unfamiliar with how the 49ers operate. Their current regime regularly puts out lies to the media to make the team look good. Aiyuk was never going to be traded this season.

Neat? Doesn't change that Aiyuk re-signed there and they're a clearly worse team than the Steelers.
That makes him smart. He tore his ACL after signing a contract that gave him $76M guaranteed. Instead of going into free agency still recovering from major injury.

There was never any option for him to play for the Steelers this year. Look at the 49ers window and how they operate. Sorry you got fooled by the 49ers fabricated drama

Even if I agreed with the premise that the 49ers and Steelers are in positions where a player looks stupid for being on the former and not the latter - and, respective records considered and all, I don't - I think that comes far below whether the Steelers look dumb for not getting a WR. Which right now still seems quite likely.

So is Bo Nix actually good or something?

Also good lord Jackson's day. If only this team could face run-heavy QBs all the time.

The fact Van Jefferson keeps playing over Mike Williams is just bizarre.

To win on a day that Russ wasn't cooking is a nice result. No matter what these teams are, every game is the same.

They really need to integrate Fields into goal line and short yardage sets. Makes such a difference having that threat.

Thursday is the trappiest trap game you'll ever see. Week after the Ravens is always tough and doing it on the road on a short week is a major challenge. Helps that the Browns are trash, but it's a dangerous spot.

Really weird how several posters who stream constant crap lol whenever they are losing lol aren't really around when they are 8-2. Weird.

I've worried about the two Bengals' games because Burrow/Chase/Higgins is a rough matchup but man is that D a tire fire.

Yeah, I think the Steelers will lose three more games for sure and maybe both games at Bengals and Ravens, so 3-5 more games…that should still get them in the playoffs…
Short weeks after Ravens games are guaranteed losses, so they’ll lose against Cleveland this week (haven’t won in Cleveland anyway since 2017), lose against KC and also lose against the Eagles…we always stink against them…
