They can take a RB in rounds 2-4 and get the same production. Maybe better.

Chuba was a 4th round pick. Breece Hall was a 2nd, James Connor was a 3rd, Jordan Mason was undrafted. Kamara was a 3rd round pick. Etc etc etc.

Najee will be 27.5 by the time next season kicks in. Way more important to put money and picks into O-line and WR, even D-line.

But you're not putting both money and picks in. You're putting one or the other in, and using the other to cover the other things.

So the question for me is whether you'd have a 2nd/3rd round RB and Mike Williams, or a 2nd/3rd round WR and Najee Harris? Because Williams is getting paid more than Harris is projected to next year. You can repeat the exercise over other positions. Harris or Ogunjobi? For me, albeit with a bit of nerves about Harris' age and how long it's taken him to come really good, that's Harris.

If they can be patient and find a Tyler Allgeier in the 5th round, where the RB supply is still strong but other positions aren't all that, then cool. But I have my doubts about them doing that when the RB is going to be pivotal for them.

Spending a first on a RB in today’s NFL was a stupid thing to do. Undoubtedly was The Deuce meddling in the draft. They can ride with Warren + rookie if Najee is demanding a lot of money. He’s not worth it.

Whether they keep Williams depends entirely on how he plays and whether the team wants to keep Russ around for another couple years.

It’s possible they go without Najee, Williams, and Wilson all together for 2025.

If the offense is going to be so reliant and pivotal on a RB......then they need to find one that is way more dynamic.

But the Steelers - unless they're about to shift philosophy radically - want a power back and they don't come way more dynamic than Harris all that often.

I don't think RBs are guys you generally want to pay serious money to, but I also don't view $8 million a year to be "serious money" either.

Like oh wow, you're paying your RB the cost of a backup QB.

People wanted Slayton as a wr the giants beat writers think he is going to get 10 million aav in free agency. The jets paid Williams 10 million. I would rather pay Najaee

Defense needs to buck the trend of being asleep when they hit the field for the first time
I don’t see it…picking the Commanders to win…third best offense in the league…I see a high scoring affair…Commanders have a better chance of stopping our offense than we do theirs lol…only chance is to get Daniels to make some TOs he hasn’t been making so far

They should use Wilson to spy Daniels and box him in to let Highsmith and Watt eat.

I don’t give Tomlin a lot of props but he does have a pretty good record dealing with mobile QBs
