I mean that is chump change in the NFL. But at the same time there's so many good RBs that if you think there's other guys who fit your style better, why hang around?

I don't understand why Smith doesn't like Warren. Seems like he's a good Robin to whatever you bring in as Batman (Harris won't be it next year).

I mean maybe he does and I'm wrong? This is the wild speculation time of year. But there's definitely games he doesn't seem all that bothered about him.

It’s funny they are scared to cut him because he might end up here or kc

What? Steelers tried to trade him the year prior and couldn't find takers. They finally offloaded him.

He won't be coming back here this year or next or in the future. I'll do an avatar bet on this.

Feels like the pecking order is Harris, CPat then Warren.

I like CPat's energy, efffort and vibe, but he's just not a RB in today's NFL.

Whoa an avatar bet, huge stakes!

I think DJ's problem is more that he sucks and is washed up than his off-field issues.

If he was still good, teams would deal with his shit. But he's not good anymore, so yeah out the door you go.

Warren did lead the RB room in snaps yesterday and had 5 touches to Harris’ 7. I dunno. It was just a weird game since they didn’t get the ball much and when they did have it struggled to sustain any drives.

This is his ESPN Open Score stats, which I found pretty interesting. Apologies on the shitty paste job, I’m on mobile.

The advanced stats say he’s washed, but that ignores the context of what happened this season. I don’t think he is truly washed, but he did himself no favors in a contract year. He’ll be lucky to have a job next year with his shitty attitude, but I’m sure someone will role the dice on him for low guaranteed money.

I would guess the coaching staff's biggest issue with Warren is that his ball security is dodgy.

Whoever they feature at rb they need to pass more on running downs because they have fallen back into being super predictable even with actual competent qb play to lean on.

Aside from the many gaffes, they lost yesterday because they spent a quarter and a half running into a brick wall and expecting it to yield.

His stats at Carolina were fine given they were a mess and he had an acceptable last season here so I doubt that he just sucks.

I am not saying he would be back but Jermy Fowler reported it. Then you watch the rest of our wr not named Gp it is something. Tomlin and him talked after the 1st meeting
Cpat is old and was only signed to return kicks. He said he wasn’t in shape when they signed him

Does anyone know if he counts against their roster while suspended?

SF is doing something similar with one of their linebackers that refused to enter the game last week.
SF is trying to get most of that dude's signing bonus back. That's why they won't cut him.

Their offense was wholly unsuccessful, the run/pass mix had nothing to do with it.

I know you won't criticize Wilson, but he was bad yesterday aside from one throw that was still underthrown. The Steelers only had 5 rushes their first 5 drives. The offense did nothing in the first quarter and a half because their QB played poorly.

I think it’s a little more spiteful than that. They don’t want him to sign with a playoff team. Pretty understandable why these teams don’t let these guys off easy, it sets a terrible precedent.

I think a lot of the criticisms this week are completely valid and I agree with a lot of them, but we need to remember the Eagles are really f***ing good, particularly on defense. They are the #1 defense giving up an average of 17.6pts/game on the season and that drops to 15.1pts/game since their bye. Without Harris' fumble, they were right on pace for that. I think the Steelers were still particularly bad because they only had 163 yards of offense, but some of that is on the time of possession. I'd have to take a deeper dive to see how that calculates in terms of yards per play compared to other teams. I'm guessing still not great, but still.

So, yes, I think pitches to Najee shouldn't even be in the playbook, but do I have any faith they would have had success running up the middle? Not really. Patterson being in the game late was dumb, but they weren't getting anything from Harris or Warren. Was not going for it on 4th and 7 the right call? No, but does anyone really think they would have picked it up? They were just over matched.

And not to beat a dead horse, but we all wanted a WR2 anyway, but one piece of that was the fear of what it would like without Pickens. Well, there's your answer.

Honestly, I'm more disappointed in the defense. You knew it was going to be tough sledding on offense. They stopped Saquon which was mission #1, but when you gets teams into 3rd and 20 and you give up the first down as a top 5 defense? I dunno. Just reeks of the 'good on paper' defenses that then give up 40 points in the playoffs that we've seen under Tomlin.

The defense was down 2 starters and cb needs to be higher on the draft list because Jackson is always hurt and no one is behind him
On offense they are still using Pruitt Heyward way to much. Issac is showing his age hopefully they trade him for a pick and move McCormick to LG next season
DL CB TE top draft needs and sign Higgins
