They don't play like they suck. Like if you turned on the TV and caught a Penguins game you wouldn't come away with the impression that they suck based on how they are playing. But they have been absolutely the dumbest team I have ever seen for a full year now when it comes to playing the moment. It is magical how they find ways to lose. Leafs-esque, but dare I say more slapstick than that. Anyways, time for new coaches.

It's a talented group that would have been a cup contender five years ago. But they have zero endurance at this point.

I would say none of the loses this year are endurance related
Dallas loss was for sure. They looked great first half of the game and then were totally gassed. Ottawa they fell apart after the first period.

When you constantly blow third period leads it shows you stop playing with the correct attention to detail.

Those 2 Cups can get you a long leash. Plus it seems that the Pens ownership group is smitten by him.

The entire league is smitten by him. I feel like he has the most undeserved reputation of any coach since Babcock.

The Penguins as a whole have completely bought into the Mike Sullivan hype so I don't expect them to make any chances.

I expect Iceburgh to be replaced by Cpt. Sardine Sullivan as early as next year.

Damn, you'd think they would tell Ovechkin to stop passing the puck then. Apparently compared to you, the Caps coaches and players are all bumbling imbeciles who know nothing about hockey.

Perhaps you can provide some consulting services to the Capitals with your amazing knowledge.

So your team - which fancies itself buyers - is last place in the entire conference? -Behind a team that isn't even trying to win games?

Yes it seems like Beau Knows is a poorly thought out username.

Should be Beau Doesn't Know or perhaps Beau Zos

What do you expect from HF where we have fanbases whose teams can't even see Round 2 chirping the Pens' core guys.

It's like NFL fans of teams who finally make the playoffs after years of sucking chirping Tom Brady and/or the Patriots.

And yet despite the Penguins championship pedigree they saw fit to sign a GM that hasn't progressed beyond the second round. And comparing the Pens to Tom Brady and the Pats? Laughable.

We saw our boys win three cups. The people dunking on a 36 year old Crosby are hilarious. They've been waiting nearly 20 years to do this.
Same thing happened when Getzlaf and Perry got old.
2026 NHL draft The Penguins select Gavin McKenna 1st overall.
Chicago got its replacement for Kane and Pitt will get theirs too.

Penguins should've blown it up after the 3-1 series lead they blew to the Rangers. They double down by locking up Rust and Malkin but lose Marino (super good defenseman)

Penguins should've blown it up after missing the playoffs with healthy Malkin and Crosby, but nope. we GOTTA trade for Erik Karlsson and double down again. Oh and the goalie who was cheeks for us gotta get extended to a 5x5

You see why the Penguins are in last now? Its from their idiocy. At least teams like the Flyers and Jackets have youth. The Penguins got none of that.

Pens only lost that series because they lost Crosby and had to play their third string goalie. They dominated the Rangers. Blowing it up then would have been idiotic, not keeping the core.

Getting Karlsson while offloading bad contracts was also a slam dunk move and he's been good. So has Smith and Eller, for that matter. What is nonsense is their special teams are unacceptably garbage again and their goaltender stinks. They clearly need a new coaching staff.

Not that surprised....Dubas didn't help the situation at all committing to Jarry like he did.

I understand going for it with the Karlsson add but with Letang already there would have been wiser to add a different type of piece

A bunch of swings and misses on the bit pieces also....

Early still of course this team can turn it around but they are going to be at best a borderline playoff team and a far cry from a contender

I'm not ready to go that far, Dubas didn't really have a choice; he inherited a shit sandwich. Having said that, the Pens have a history of firing their coach, finding a second breath, and making a legitimate push. Hockey is weird like that sometimes, team morale or something. Sullivan needs to go. It's not like it's going to matter in a year or two, Carrot Top could coach the next couple of years and it won't make a difference.

The Penguins are done. Old and slow led by over-the-hill medicore stars that aren't getting the affections of the referees anymore. They have moved on to the next generation. Firing Sullivan is the only logical answer, but it won't change the outcome. I for one shall enjoy the slow painful downfall of a franchise that never should have been saved by the NHL in the first place as it collapses under the weight of its salary cap and slides back down into the mineshaft of a city it was built upon.
