Why is it that Philadelphia sports teams, whose fan base is among the most knowledgeable in each sport, have announcers who seem like they are all trying to teach the game to a toddler on every play

Be careful....you might get accused of sexism. The two of them together are horrible and Kate just sucks. Has nothing to do with her being a female either. I enjoyed Tom the other night doing the broadcast and was glad she was sick. The both of them with their cutesy back and forth make me sick. They are very unprofessional. Way too much time away from the play by play and Kate's growling is cartoonish....
I’ve spoken of her growling before. But, as much as I don’t like listening to her do it, I don’t really care for any announcers doing it.
Luka pulls the intentionally miss the FT trick again but this time with the Mavs up a point with 1.5 sec left. He gets the rebound himself and dribbles it out. Another 50 piece too.

I guess that's a fair point.I'm not sure Ben Simmons is my go-to to exemplify modern shooting.
Tbh though, I didn't realize Wilt had that mid-range jumper. That sweet shot off the glass is definitely Duncan-esque.

While he was doing that shooting and scoring, he was pulling down 20 rebounds a night, plus 5 blocks and steals and assist or more.
It’s like combining Michael Jordan and Dennis Rodman’s (in their prime) per game stats into one player in Tim Duncan’s body…. Then add 20 pts and 10 rebounds.

If you go to the the Wikipedia page for most rebounds in a single game, it’s divided into before and after 1973. Guess who retired in 1973.
I would have traded Simmons for Haliburton straight up.

The Kings were the ones that balked....I think they also wanted more than Morey was willing to give up. Not sure if they wanted Curry which we had to give up anyway. I think though they wanted picks...either way yeah he was the guy to get instead of Harden who will probably leave. Ingram would have been good too. We need more athleticism.I would have traded Simmons for Haliburton straight up.
I'm pretty sure I read that Morey wanted Haliburton plus multiple 1sts. Not sure if he was offering anything more than Simmons.
