We looked really bad against Tampa and Florida and last night. They just won 3 in a row and allowed 1 goal during that span against two elite teams and a team fighting for its life. I cant tell if this is serious? Can they play better, sure not sure what people are expecting. This is a bubble team that is finding its way.
Sens could be WC2 by Saturday at 9:45pmFYI
After Habs @ Sens:
Habs play:
- Leafs
- Hawks
- Canes
Sens play:
- Flyers
- Hawks
- Canes
And Habs play Leafs the day after the Sens.

Was the boys name Shrooms by any chance?Six weeks ago, I was walking through a department store, and a young boy approached me. He asked if I like the Ottawa Senators. I told him I did. We both agreed they would make the playoffs. I think he might have told me that they would win the cup this year.
I didn't realize it at the time, but I am thinking that young boy may have been some sort of ghost.
No they didnt they had a lead on two of the top 5 teams in the league and both those teams pushed. thats the reality there was a score effect and the team won. Thats what good teams do. There is context. They were fine last night, their guys scored the sens guys didnt. Id prefer a tighter game but Columbus is really good at home and Ottawa just shut them out two days ago. Very hard to beat a team two games in a row let alone 3 in a 10 day span.We looked really bad against Tampa and Florida and last night.
This team is not playing well at all right now. Ullmark and Forsberg got us our last few wins.
Sometimes your goalie bails you out, that's fine, I'm happy we have goalies who can do it. But if you think this team is paying well right now, we aren't seeing the same thing at all.
Leeder mentioned it would either be the Sunday or Monday, so the 20th or 21stIs there any information on when the playoffs would start? What days? I thought I saw tubby Garrioch post something
To qualify for LTIR, a player must be expected to miss at least 10 NHL Games AND 24 daysCan we LTIR players. The playoffs are in 11 days. lTIR requires 10 days
Gawd darn! There is a joke in this statement somewhere. Burrow, emo, injury, him resting. Help me out folks. We need our Bsaurus at his best for the playoffs.I would rest everyone with any injury.
I have a feeling there won't be much left for the general public.Man, it's pretty crazy that they'll only be selling to the general public starting between the 15th and 18th. If it's the 18th, that's only 2 or 3 days before actual playoff start.

Tampa and Florida make up for the two Sabres game where we played well and still lost. We played an excellent home game against CBJ and yeah did have a dud road game against them, but while we haven't played well lately, I don't think we've played bad lately either. I'd argue we've played better than Montreal lately. Montreal got severely outplayed by Nashville and early on by the Red Wings and still won.We looked really bad against Tampa and Florida and last night.

Refusing to play defence is not toiling in the trenches. If anything this is the first year they’ve actually experienced hard hockey.
The last 3-4 years have been vacation mode for these kids
Ah I got the games and days mixedTo qualify for LTIR, a player must be expected to miss at least 10 NHL Games AND 24 days
What I'm not sure about is whether or not that extends to the post season, like, if you missed 9 reg season games and 24 days, would you be forced to miss one Playoff game before you return? Since there's no cap in the playoffs, I don't know how they'd handle it.
Yes, if the Habs beat both Sens and Leafs in regulation.Sens could be WC2 by Saturday at 9:45pm
I will be ungovernable.Gawd darn! There is a joke in this statement somewhere. Burrow, emo, injury, him resting. Help me out folks. We need our Bsaurus at his best for the playoffs.
No. But they were both taking a lot of nights off defensively. The entire crew was part of the problem. Not THE problems. But part of itCome on man, 500 games for each Chabot and Brady. They are good players, we weren't not making the playoffs because of them.
I made a mistake - should be Hawks and Canes the day after they play the Habs.FYI

The BJs also sat back in the third and as a result the Sens had a better xGF% than them, but no one can argue that the Sens played better. So why are people still arguing the Sens played awful against the Florida teams? The Sens got outplayed by the Florida teams for sure, but they weren't dominated. No they didnt they had a lead on two of the top 5 teams in the league and both those teams pushed. thats the reality there was a score effect and the team won. Again they can play better but saying they are terrible or playing poorly is ridiculous.
