OT: The Other Sports Thread Part X

And so there are 7 SEC teams on the Sweet 16.
Gonna be bitter to have beaten UT twice in the regular season and lose to them in the tourney.

Of course I remember 1986, Kentucky beat LSU three times and then lost to them in the Elite 8. That was a bitter pill.

But its gonna be even more bitter if Calipari goes farther than UK with the same bunch of turds he lost to a 15 seed with last year.

Nice call here.

At least you narrowly avoided this. As much as it pains me to say it I think Pope looks like he's going to be a great coach for you all.

Home team Komets clinched a playoff spot last night, they should have home ice in the first round as well as they're pretty much a lock for 2nd in the division. It's just tough at the moment because six of our players are called up to Bakersfield, including the league's leading scorer for defense and now our starting goalie as well.

Still, it's been a very fun season, a much welcome distraction from whatever is going on with the Preds. I think if I ever move back to mid-TN I will be more invest in a team like the Huntsville Havoc or Knoxville Ice Bears, it's just a lot less stressful at the lower levels, easier and more fun to attend, and a lot more wallet friendly.

Yeah I have a coworker who is a huge Havoc fan. She keeps offering me tickets but it always seems to fall at a bad time when I can't go. I need to go check it out some time.

I went years ago and had a blast. Front row seats for $20...that was for my bunch but now I can't remember if there were 3 or 4. Kids just kind of merge together after 25 years, ha! There was a *really* good fight but I don't recall if we won or lost.

I went once and saw them win, a bunch of the fans were wearing bath robes and it took us way too long to realize that we went on"Big Lebowski" night.

Also went to a Birmingham Bulls game that was a lot of fun, smaller arena, but it was their first game back so the crowd was awesome.

Wow. Vols look like shit.
If I was the Vols coach, I would have yanked one of the players with 5 minutes left in the first half. He was throwing up 25 footers with 15 or 20 seconds on the clock and no teammates in a rebounding position.

He robbed the Vols of 6 points on offense, maybe more. That is part of why they have only 15 points in 20 minutes! They could have been in the low to mid 20s. The empty trips are killing them!

Just keeping up with the score was pretty bad. Honestly not that much of a surprise, I never expect an actual championship to materialize.

I'll probably doom them but Go Auburn.
