OT: The Other Sports Thread Part X

I just wouldn't want Deion around my franchise if things aren't working out with Shadeur.

But yeah, I can't believe how anyone thought he was actually in contention for #1. His highlight reel, which should be his best stuff, doesn't suggest an NFL QB.

Titans seem to be drafting well? Not necessarily slam dunks, but guys who appear to be highly athletic, who are on a upward trend in their development, and guys who still have plenty of runway to continue improving. String together a few drafts like this and it could go a looooong way toward fixing this franchise.

I’m never going to complain about picking a receiver who ran a 4.3 at the combine.

If you don't have an established HC, you worry about Deion using his platform to talk about your Offense should it struggle. Arch Manning was always quiet and stayed in the background.

The comp about the Mannings vs Sanders pulling the power move. Well, Eli had 6 years of Peyton playing in the NFL and established himself as a top 5 QB. That plus the scouting report on Eli having better mechanics and measurables like height, weight, arm strength (which Sanders didn't have), etc. put him as the top prospect. If Chargers just pass on him, Raiders or other clubs run up to get him or what happened with the Giants trading for him does.

Sanders didn't have that evaluation of his talent. Not every son will equal their father. I mean Shilo plays DB and went undrafted.

If Sanders didn't want to go to certain teams, just pass on the interview requests. I mean, top 3/4 rated guys often don't meet with teams past pick 5. Even though some would say, they could trade up for you. Better to have no meeting than a bad one, or one where there is no preparation or effort in that meeting.
