Made a LOTR reference 4 - 5 months ago, someone mentioned the Wheel of Time series. Great now I am on book 6 (Lord of Chaos) out of 14. This is going to take a while…

I made it through Wheel of Time. “The slog” is real.

IMO, Book Two’s ending was the high point.

I’ve also traditionally enjoyed fairly easy reading. Mystery novels are probably the ones I return to the most often.

I wish one day to find the emotional capacitance to actually finish a whole book in a sunbeam like I did as a kid.

Seems the Blue Jays won’t be able to re-sign Vladdy, or as I call him, Bladdy. What a clown show with inept management on one side and an immature man child with an inflated sense of self worth on the other.

A fun series to read that certainly isn't challenging or going to win any awards but is still kind of mindless enjoyment are the jack reacher series.

Magomed Ankalaev had to wait longer than was really warranted for his shot at light-heavyweight gold. He won the title tonight.

Good on him. I hope his face-punching went well.

Nobody on Earth I'd want to f*** with less than an angry Russian that looks like he could grow a unibrow having a siesta.

He is so only mom loves him looks wise. 😆 guy he beat looks like he's killed people defending his Brazilian village.

It bothers me a little when someone asks permission to "sneak by" me, or announces they're about to do so.

Quit standing in the middle of shit! Jeez, be aware of your surroundings. LOL. That one grinds my gears.

Getting to class on time in high school should have been more full-contact. I would have enjoyed it more.

You triggered me. Congrats

Because if you're warning me in advance, let alone asking my permission, you're not sneaking.
If the other person is saying may I sneak by you, it usually means that they don't think there is enough space for them to go past you without making some contact with you.

Otherwise, a lot of people would just say "behind" and just go past you. Letting you know that they are there are not to step backwards.

Can you recommend a song

I feel like you have a good playlist

Most of the ones I know back to front are actually my own.

What shaped your childhood? Share a memory you feel comfortable in. What's your demographic?

I don't mean to sound pretentious, but I don't really see set "genres" of music, there's just notes and chords and rhythm.

The song I've been growing fond of is "Son of a Gun" by the La's. The song that made me say 'i wanna do this' was "Strawberry Fields Forever" by the Beatles.

The song that gets me up in the morning right now is "Power" by Kanye West. The song that makes me want to get wild has and always will be "Party Rock Anthem" by LMFAO.

I got more recommendations. I go from Great Big Sea to Sounds of Africa to a band like say Blackpink.

Music is music. I don't know.
