Full collection? No. It's huge now. Over 60 jerseys. I've been meaning to go through and actually catalog everything. Have a black 80s skate I'm taking in today to have McLean put on. Might bring that one the trip.

It's something like that for sure.

30 y/o Mark Stone for 25 y/o NHL superstar w/ higher offensive ceiling and a track record of being a 100 point superstar but bad defensively and out of shape.

MacKinnon didn't have those question marks about him though.

It's hard to fidn a comparable. Just so perplexing.
 
it'd be like if we traded hughes for hedman because he's too small and we wanted to get bigger lol

hall of fame caliber already but still early prime and improving, face of the franchise for a hall of fame, end of prime, clear secondary guy

Mackinnon for Mark stone doesnt even come close to it. There is no NHL comparable.

Doncic is a global icon. He alone probably brings in more revenue than 10 nhl teams combined world wide.

Matthews for Kucherov would be the closest imo considering stature of players + ages, but even then.

Probably the most shocking trade in sports that'll happen during our lifetimes (Unless you are old enough to have a memory of Gretzky to the Kings)

Knowing 1 sport inside-out enough to comment on it is difficult enough for me. I played basketball as kid, but I'm 5-foot-Danny Devito so hockey for me. Once I lost my speed, it was over for me. Hopefully it works out for the Mavs....I doubt it. Lebron looked like he had some spring in his step.



Why are people beating up on this poor girl? She said she's failing US HISTORY. Do they not know America is the center of the universe and they won't teach you f***ing anything in school these days?

Like seriously. Some parents out here treating a proper education as f***ing daycare thinking they know more than teachers. We're all real impressed, Mr. PEng, but you'll side with your kid if they had a fight with an inanimate f***ing object (great movie).

You're just raising your kid to be a jackass.

I'd dive in to the political side, but there's a very good reason that board ought not to exist anymore.

Before we get too all "high & mighty" remember that a good number of people in the interior (I suspect in Metro Vancouver as well) thought in the last BC provincial election they were actually voting out Justin.;)

This is highway robbery by the Lakers. Anthony Davis & a 1st when AD was 25 wouldn't be worth current Luka. There's no comparable to this in the NHL as one player in basketball can make much more of an impact than a player in hockey can.

The Mackinnon one doesn't work because he's 29 and Luka's 25, and the current generation of basketball players (even out of shape dude's like Harden) remain much more productive in their mid 30s than hockey players do. Basketball players don't typically hit their prime till their mid 20s as well, whereas hockey forwards tend to reach it much earlier.

Best example I could give is if Draisatl led the Oilers to the finals without McDavid 5 years ago, and then they flipped Draisatl for Patrick Kane because cup experience, or Brad Marchand because they wanted to get "nastier."

Luka isn't just currently a top 5 player in the NBA, he's probably top 3 for "If you had to start your franchise over again with one player, who would it be?" I can't think of a more ridiculous trade in NBA history tbh. This is the kind of deal that makes fans quit cheering for their own team.

Meanwhile, as a Lakers fan, I have no idea how we keep getting away with this :laugh: I suffer watching the Vikings and Canucks just blow it, meanwhile the Lakers have a horseshoe up their ass with getting mega talent into the city to win rings.
