OT: The OT Thread | Post Apocalyptic Edition

Is the Coliseum at 15/16K the right size for the PWHL? I'm assuming they are just using the lower bowl so that's going to be roughly half of that at around 8K.

For 10K, it's either WHL or AHL really. Arena won't be ready to play in until 2029/2030 season at the absolute earliest. So, have to keep an eye on arena leases. Didn't Aqua group look into buying the Abbotsford Arena?

I think the Aqua group was linked to an effort to purchase the arena in Chilliwack as well as the junior hockey club out there.

I don't know what is more embarrasing right now, Dallas/Canes breakdown or this champions league final, Inter are just rolling over.

Di Marco is having an absolute stinker.

I haven't bought a single chocolate bar in years. What used to cost $1 when I was a kid is now literally half the size and costs $2.75 and is gone in 4 bites. It's a terrible value proposition compared to getting, like, a literal tub of sour gummies from Walmart for like $1 more.
Slurpees also went from under a $1.00 for a big one in the early 2000's to 2.75 for a small today

There might be hope for the Vancouver Canucks.

Crystal Palace FC won their first major trophy in 163 years (English football is very cruel)

Lokomotive Yaroslavl just won the Gagarin cup for the first time in 66 years of existence.

And Paris Saint Germain just won the Euro cup/Champions league title for the first time in 55 years of existence.

So besides Hockey, one of my other passions is Volleyball, and beach volleyball to be more specific.

They are removing the last two playable beach volleyball courts on the North Shore. there use to be 9 courts and now there is just one court that is unplayable because the built it on a hill and didn't flatten the ground.

While I have worked for a few years to try and keep these courts it looks like it maybe finally their end. Can you guys please do me a favour and have a look at this petition and sign it, and pass it on to anyone you think may want to try and help?

Thanks!

What has the North Shore turned those old beach V-Ball courts into? As I recall there used to be temp ones created in the summer between ScienceWorld to Broadway, just north of the tracks.

they took out the courts at ambleside, there was also temp courts at the ship yard that they turned into the shipyard... and I get that. But they replaced them with two courts that they are now removing.

Beach Volleyball is also the second fastest growing sport in Canada... so it just doesn't make sense.

I don't really know where else to put this so I'm putting it here.

The Lower Mainland might be home to the next great D man in the NHL. One of my closest friends(when I say close friend, I mean like I've known him since we were 2 and I was in his wedding party), has a son. That kid is 13 years old. His name is Killian Wall. I'm telling you right now, he's a phenom. He recently signed with Connor Bedards agent. AT 13. He has a profile on elite prospects already. Killian Wall - Stats, Contract, Salary & More
Kid skates like Quinn Hughes. This clip is against other Select players

And this is a kid I held the day he was born.

It blows me away. I played with guys that made it to the show (Brad Hunt, Evander Kane, Andrew Ladd...) and none of them stood out like Killian does. Watch for his name in a couple years. People will be talking about him.
