Mowing the lawn is the only yard work that I like to do.I really, really hate mowing the lawn.

Mine usually stops growing from June to August... when its 100 degrees with no rain for 3 months. Not sure its worth the tradeoff.Stupid lawn not knowing when to stop growing. I hate it for it.
Good luck!Had a 45 min zoom interview yesterday that went well. And my friend's wife is a manager in the building. Doing an in-person on Tuesday, scheduled for 2.5 hours. Maybe, just maybe, the exit ramp has finally appeared.
Still haven't received my business cards. Hopefully this weekend. Insurance kicks in on Monday. Have a few legal things I need to do still, but the heavy lifting in that area is done. Almost at the "spread the word" step.
I dunno, there was a Ukrainian restaurant in my old neighborhood that dished it out in a similar, loaf-y manner (you'd sometimes wait 50-60 mins for it depending how many orders there were, but they had Slivovitz to salve the wait). It was f***in' top notch; perfectly spiced beef mixture that made up 85% of the serving and a thick, crunchy cabbage casing. Helped change my mind on cabbage, only because I'd ever had my mom's terrible prep (sorry ma).View attachment 1011871
Bundt cake cabbage rolls makes me irrationally angry. Even though it’s filled with the best part of a cabbage roll.

What about human centipede, though?St Augustine > Centipede >> Bermuda
I don't even have that "luck", no matter how hot it gets, we have stupid water under the stupid ground that keeps it stupid green and stupid growing while our neighbours lawn looks like a f***ing desert.Mine usually stops growing from June to August... when its 100 degrees with no rain for 3 months. A mate of mine was on the hunt for a house to buy. The real estate agents kept telling him how great the yards were. He eventually had to tell them "don't try and sell me on a lawn. If I buy the house I'll just concrete it all".Lawn? A topic I dislike more than Sabres roster questions. Bleh. Rip it out and replace with local understory species instead.
My father liked to talk about how his neighborhood in Southern California when he lived there was gravel that somebody had spray painted green.A mate of mine was on the hunt for a house to buy. Personally, living in Florida - a lawn is nice to mow as it is the equivalent of a 60 minute hard workout with how much you sweat due to the heat.
I dont have to step foot in a gym, I just mow my lawn once a week and walk to get the mail everyday. The heat takes care of the rest!
My HOA does cover my lawn services, but I drive down to do my parents every weekend (or every two weeks during the winter). Competition is tight here, but for me that's for pool services. I can find great pool care for $100 a month that will make sure the pool is clear and usable all year round. One of the only things I miss about Florida is the abundance of lawn care options. With 12 month of the year mowing (though, the dry season slows it down a bit), A LOT of competition in that space. I could get my 3/4 acre lot mowed for $200 a month with them trimming the bushes and everything. I have an acre of mowable grass here and its almost triple that (though, I don't pay for mowing between October and April typically, so that offsets it a bit).
Every spring I look at mowers and realize that with our schedule (I work during the week and watch the kids on the weekends while the wife mows) that I would be paying for childcare to watch the kids while I mowed. Might as well just pay people to mow the lawn instead and not pay for a mower.
