OT: The OT Thread: False spring is the worst season of all (Warning in post 368)

My youngest was looking at schools in the NE in part because she wants me to move too. Neither of us enjoy Florida weather.

Granted, she picked one in the Orlando area and she may be studying abroad next year.
One of my wife's nephews is looking at doing a semester abroad in Italy.

His mom is not taking it well.

My wife and I are talking about doing a train ride through Banff, but dont know the best time of year to do it. Any suggestions? Are we limited to the summer if we want to not see snow everywhere?
I spent a ski season there years ago, which hardly makes me an expert. This is a picture of my old ski field in summer

So you are fine during that season. I wouldn't go too far either side though if you wanted to avoid snow. We were still snowboarding in May, but that's obviously up a bit higher than the township

Thank you so much! I'd look at maybe very early September, but I'll have to ask the wife!

So I grew up in foster care, and lived there for 14 years. Today is my foster parents anniversary, and they’ve been married for 66 years. Which is crazy. Both in the fact that they’ve been married that long AND the fact that they’ve lived that long to have that happen.
It feels like their anniversary present should be a Number of the Beast vinyl

Waiting in a break room for my boss’ boss to finish, and then I go get yelled at. My boss’ boss is a dinosaur from the 1980s style of leadership. Never went to combat, do-as-I-say without question type of guy. Starts conversations with an insult. Takes zero feedback on his ideas.

I take it because my job pays well and I get crazy good benefits. And my annual report cards are the best on my installation. But this guy takes disagreement as a personal insult. Big ego.

Pray for me, boys.

I survived. I know where DOGE needs to cut.
