Yeah ok. More like thinking Burns (as forward playing next to Thornton) would outscore Karlsson (coming off Achilles' tendon surgery).

I still remember how tc took Burns before me last year.
That was ok...
Because I ended up with Keith.

Well Johnny Football is one matter

Johnny Hockey is another

both should just renounce the nickname imo

Manziel's nickname was inspired by Johnny Unitas...
So there is at least some history there...
And I can give him a pass for that.

Johnny Hockey is just a blatant rip-off...
And there is absolutely no connection to anything.
:shakehead
However...
It does shows that hockey players need better nicknames.

Why can't Americans care about hockey?
If there is one thing they are good at...
Other than adding cheese to everything...
It is with nicknames.
They are good...
And to the point...
More often than not.

I hate to say it...
But as Canadians...
We are absolutely terrible with nicknames.

Li Na has retired due to her knees.
I have really enjoyed her play from the last couple of years...
Along with her wit in interviews...
So I am sadden by the news.
She probably still has at least one good year left in her too...
Even if she is up there in age.

Still...
She leaves as the most successful Asian player...
While relatively still on top...
With a lot of lucrative sponsorships...
So she is basically set for life.
I do hope she continues to be involved with the tour in some form or another though...
Because her wit alone will give that women's division some spark...
Which is largely amiss these days.
