I dunno. Three seasons before the plot picks up seems a bit excessive to me. If a show has failed to grasp my attention in a meaningful way by the first season's finale. I am not likely to bother with it going forward.

That's a bit disingenuous due to how short the first season is. It takes until the last few episodes of season two for the pace to really quicken, but that's still less than one season on a major network. IMO if you're willing to wait a full season for show on ABC/CBS/NBC (18+ episodes) to really grasp your attention you should try to give BrBa the same amount of time.

I feel like I'm pushing this show really hard on some of you guys but I'm not, I'm just trying to tell y'all how I see it

It's odd. I liked her in Friends (though she was never OMG hilarious), but usually am underwhelmed to outright annoyed in any movie she's ever in. She picks some awful movies though.

She played the straight man (err woman), well mostly straight. She has some quirks but that show need some relatively normal person. Matched to a dorky but nice guy. The show revolved around them and their on again off again relationship more than any other characters.

Phoebe was a space cadet.
Joey was 1d dumb as dirt.
Chandler was quirky, raises by drag queens.
Monica was an anal, obsessive fruitcake.
Etc.

First season lays solid ground onto the whole series but it's also the toughest to get into. Have to show some faith in the series, which is, of course, greatly rewarded.

I usually set 3 alarm clocks in the morning, one of them being my phone which I set alarms for 5:30, 5:45, 6:00, 6:15, 6:30, 6:45, 7:00. Unfortunately, I somehow decided to sleep past them all except my loudest one. My half-asleep self managed to turn that one off and go back to sleep though. Sucks to be a heavy sleeper...
