I would be pretty surprised to see Frederic at all in round 1. If we somehow manage to get past LA, which I don't expect to happen, maybe we see him in round 2. But even that is questionable. High ankle sprains might be the singular hardest non-head/neck/back injury to determine timelines on.

If he doesn’t play at all in the playoffs it has to be the one if the dumbest trades we’ve ever made.

LA is far more dynamic offensively than years past. The only thing keeping us afloat was our otherwordly PP and PK. They've got a lot better, Byfield is finally a real threat.

We had a defenceman carry us in Ekholm. He's not playing. What do you mean, based on what? Remember Kane putting up his fingers against LA after scoring? He's not playing. Remember the series he had?
Byfield played 2 mins a game more than last year and ended up with 1 less point this season. Whoever thought this was the guy that deserved the hype job before the playoffs, is an idiot. Brandt Clarke becoming a regular will have a bigger effect on this series than Byfields nonexistent emergence.

What I've learned watching PLD and now Byfield over the years is if you happen to be big and have good mitts, you will be lauded as a star no matter what you do. Just be big and make a nice play here and there and they'll be calling you a star in no time.

Ends up being an exercise in folks projecting what these players theoretically should be (bull in a china shop scoring forward that is a handful to play against) rather than what they actually are (skilled, but underwhelming large forward that doesn't really leverage their size/strength a lot).

Gregor is the child in elementary school jumping around, raising his hand, screaming Oooh, oooh pick me and then incorrectly answers, but not knowing the real answer.

Nothing on NHL.com beyond the 2 Saturday games.
Gregor's problem is that he doesn't listen to the question to know the correct answer!

I picked Kings in 6. All our good players (outside of Bouch and Nurse I think) are either currently injured, or coming off a very recent injury and are likely still feeling the effects of those injuries. Our best D, by far, is out for the entire series. Our goaltending is still a major, MAJOR, issue. Lastly, we don't have the scoring depth we did last year.

I picked Kings in 6, but I wouldn't be surprised by a Kings sweep either. I don't expect the series to be close at all truthfully.

Of course you did 🤡

Never change bruh

Keep seeing this, still haven't heard the justification for it. He basically just had an identical season to last year.

He's getting up there for the most overrated in the league if he isn't there already. He's a 50 point forward that happens to be tall. Not intimidating, not really physical, just big.
Yeah this byfield hype is strange. He’s a “good” player

That’s about it

I picked the Oilers in 7. I have no confidence in them doing it but I am not going to pick the Kings on a poll, no way

When I talk to people in real life they really love our crew.

I only really see the Louie hate on HF. He's really popular in Edmonton from what I see.

It’s honestly the weirdest shit ever. Anyone who knows anything about Louie knows he bleeds copper and blue and they act like he’s judas-machiavelli-quisling.

Did YOU knock a motherf***er out in a Vancouver bar because they were talking shit on the Oilers? Then maybe STFU.

Spector is the same. For a guy who covers hockey his entire life he doesn’t know the rules, doesn’t know the scheduling, doesn’t know the other teams, doesn’t know the standings, doesn’t know the scores, doesn’t know the prospects, etc etc.

What do these guys actually do?

Whatever it is, I’d say ineffectively.
