So obviously there's no love lost between these 2 teams. They have Jeannot who is pretty tough in his own rite. Besides him who do they have to crash, bang and fight?

As for the question of who wins this series, it all comes down to our health and goaltending. Kuemper is a clear upgrade on our goalies and LA plays a stingy system. We will need a healthy McDrai to break through offensively to have a chance to win. This is a series where a hopefully healthy Kane and Frederic could really pay dividends by pounding LA's D. I wonder if we might see Savoie sometime in this series because we could really use another dynamic offensive player against a stingy Kings team.

I do see a surprising amount of Kings merch around the streets of LA and SoCal in general. With that many people it's not so surprising. They've cleaned the city up real good in the last while as well in preparation for the Olympics.

Wife's from there, so I end up spending a good amount of months a year in the area.
But the beer price in the arena was horrible, been there against the Oilers last week...it was 10 times the beer prices as in Germany.
The arena was quite dark inside...on the other hand the sun terraces were awesome but the attendance wasn't good, Vegas was actually better in every regard the game prior.

You don’t sound like an oilers fan or just stupid. You root against the team?
Never. All Oilers all the time. Just ticked off at the clown who let a young stud walk for 2 mill then signed 2 clowns for 3 million combined and doubled down on our horseshit goaltending.

My heart of course says Oilers in 7. But my mind and common sense say Kings in 6.

Hopefully Frederic and Kane manage to get in a few games.

Everyone is all worked up, goalies this...injuries that.

None of it matters. The single most important reason we're going to win the series is we know precisely what it takes to beat the Kings. We haven't done it once, or twice, but 3 times in a row! Progressively getting better each time.

The Kings have no answer for McDrai...period. End of thread lol They have lost 3 series in a row utilizing their good defence, which has meant didily squat.

I hope some of you like the taste of crow.......The Oilers aren't f***ing around this year.

Why? Healthy we are the better team. We have the 2 best players in the world and sounds like they are completely good to go.

I guess we are down Ekholm still.

I think we'd take them if the team was in a good space. Physically and Mentally.
I just don't know if they are. I'm hoping it's part of the preparation/use.

It's just the first time we've come to the playoffs with this team in the situation they're in. They haven't shown much in the last couple of months.

The good thing is they showed in the middle of the season Nov, Dec, Jan that they can be the best team in the league. If this team surfaces then they can dance with anyone and win.

This group played their asses off last year and they lost for 1 major reason IMO.
Florida was freakishly healthy.
Edmonton was quite simply... not.

I'm kind of hoping they're doing whatever it takes to enter the playoffs healthy and ready.
The switch gets flipped and it's another hippy ass whomping!

If the switch don't get flipped though.. I can't see them doing any damage. This team can't have trouble finishing scoring chances, give up pizza's at their blue line, and get mediocre goaltending and expect to win.

And there is your answer. Not sure how healthy we will actually be, and how quickly those who do come back, will be able to adjust. Ekholm is a massive loss. Trust me, I'm hoping all the question marks get answered positively! But there sure are a lot of them......

Yeah I didn't like all the lets just injure players talk in the GDT and PGT. Oilers will get down to business and work on clinical play. Teams will be more focused I think. But we've played the Kings so much now that stuff just seems to be boiling over on fanbase accounts. What I've mentioned is that if theres normal amount of penalties called it favors Oilers. If Officials stick whistles in pockets that makes it harder.

I posted this in another thread but figured I'd put it here too. Amazon Prime broadcast is such a shitty service that as you all know they gave this market the wrong broadcast. In our home game. It was as everybody realized the Kings broadcast they were piping instead of the TNT broadcast. I got a chance to listen to the TNT broadcast of same game. It was balanced, fair, and was much easier listening. They had completely different takes on the game, the Nurse sequence, and acknowledged throughout that the result was not indicative at all because of all the Oilers missing. Completely different experience listening to that stream.

Prime was f***ing with us. They don't even care enough about their product to give a Canadian market the optimal broadcast. Something that any pirate would provide....

That Prime broadcast was like nails scratching on a board. Completely amateurish in every way, but I guess Rogers loves the coin they get for farming it out to them.:thumbd:
