I mean, Lindros also refused to play for Sault Ste. Marie. Do you know who played a season in the Soo? Gretzky.

The Soo was almost a footnote of OHL history when they drafted Lindros. They were potentially moving to Detroit, but local people purchased the team (mostly Dr. Lou Lukenda).

A Lindros would be terrifying in today's game. No one (except maybe Wilson) would head shot him, no Shayne Churlas or Gino Odjicks trying to fight him, jump on his back & then elbow him 5 times a game.

The only question though, would be whether a coach could get him to play a winning 2 way style without a social media circus from a certain family member. Having Walsh as his agent would be the cherry on top.

He was definitely born 20 years too early.

More like 20 years too late he would have been dominant and more healthy in the 70s and 80s.

No way Lindros would develop the same way coming up the development system today. He'd be physically invulnerable but he wouldn't be out crushing guys all the time either. He'd be a great time machine player though, sort of like Wesley Snipes in Demolition Man.

That's not true at all. He was born exactly where he was.

He was not a good skater. The goaltending was mediocre from his junior years to pro.

He also served as an example of, "If your Dad needs to represent you he's a scumbag."
