Was just about to say something about how the Finnish pressure had eased up somewhat, then they score.

As for Selanne, im not sure whats going on. I think someone mentioned that his neck hurt.

Edit : Just checked a Swedish paper, it says that he has an "injury to the neck". Hopefully he'll be ok..
 
Early third period, Finland falls asleep, and Grabner say thank you very much, and scores. 3 - 6 now.
 
Norway - Austria is going to be fun to watch. Austria can score goals, but Zuccarello is going to have a field day with our defense.

as for tomorrow, watch out Crosby, Mario Altmann is coming for you :laugh:.
 
An update on Selanne. He is out for the remainder of this game, but the tournament is not in danger (so probably just sore, or maybe stretched something). Good news.

4-8 final. Could have been worse. 4 goals is pretty good, I would've been okay with that over the whole tournament: Now someone needs to tell Viveiros that forwards actually are supposed to do something on the defensive side as well. I don't know how many 3-on-2's or 4-on-2s I've counted. Also, lol @ Austria's shorthanded 3-on-1 rush. Like, what the **** is going on.
 
Really hoping everyone I work with decides to take the day to work from home because of the weather. Would love nothing more than to watch the US game in peace, and then the Canada/Norway game as well, because Zucc's is gonna go crazy on Canada and hit the upset :sarcasm:
 
I called out of work for the first time in seven years today. It was 100% to watch the USA-Slovakia game. The fact that we're expected to get 15-20 inches of snow in Dutchess county is kind of convenient. Let's go USA!

That is, sadly, not an impossible (maybe not even improbable ?) result. I picture the match to be much like the Austria - Finland match, that we come out energized, and play well the first part of the game. If we manage to avoid the penalty box that is.

But after that, Canada's massive advantage in..well.. raw talent should eventually just beat us down. If we give them powerplays, its likely good bye inside of the first 10 minutes, hehe.

For us (Norway), it'll be all down to 2 things. Our goalie having the game of his life.. and our offense to bury the chances they get, because they arnt likely to get an abundance of them.

But hopefully the game will be substantially closer than 8 - 0 :)

Btw, the salary differences between the teams are :

Canada : 157 US Million
Norway : 1.15 US Million (only Zucc is an NHL player...lol)
