The Oilers have no doubt the best forward group in the league

You can go back 4 years and the Oilers are still the highest scoring team over that span.

Yup it's been a while, but in the last two years especially they have left the pack in the dust, no other team is even close. For people living in denial, the Oilers have been the top offense in the NHL for a long time to begin with.

Whatever they added on July 1 is basically the rich just getting richer.

It's funny that anyone thinks Skinner needs to be anything more than a soft 1 dimensional player.

When McDavid or Drai are on the ice they will draw at least 2 people to them in the O-Zone...Drai just got his very own Zach Hyman....guy just has to be there for the tap in's when either McDavid or Drai make some insane pass.

They don't need him to be some Selke winning 2 way forward.

Also - questionable defense matters less when 70% of games are played in the O-Zone with that forward group.

Still have the TDL to plug any obvious holes....Cup favorites for sure.

Panthers fans know how hard it is to win a cup. Only Oilers fans would go into a season with 32 teams in it, and expect to waltz their way to the cup.

Do you know how hard it is to go to back to back finals?

Leafs fans lecturing anyone about winning, and especially managing expectations is among the funniest things I’ve ever seen here.

Lucky for you, you won’t have to worry about winning anything at all for another season.

Much different situation there, the Flames were an underdog team that no one picked to win a round.

The Oilers were the self proclaimed cup favorite. Their own players said it was cup or bust. And it was bust.
Your org has operated under the belief that 2004 was the norm and not an outlier. That's why the Flames have been more concerned with making the playoffs than actually being good.

adding two soft undersized forwards, one who is injury prone and the other one bought out because he couldn't crack a regular spot on a powerhouse Sabres team?? that's suppose to intimidate the league??

Arvidsson makes Tanev look like an iron man.

edm got smaller and easier to play against.. losing Foegle and maybe Kane for a period of time is going to hurt them a lot in the playoffs.

Myers, Forbort, Desharnais, Soucy, Joshua, Miller, Sherwood and DeBrusk are going to bully the oilers AGAIN in a 7 game series just like we did this past season.

the funniest thought that came in my mind seeing that 2nd line is the idea of Drysaitl baby sitting those two smurfs defensively.

Skinner will get PTSD from all the odd man rushes he will face next season. It's unfortunate the Canucks only get to play these guys 3 times next season.
How did "bullying" the Oilers work out for the Canucks? Oh i forgot, in Canucks land regular season wins count more than the playoffs. I hope the Canucks regular seasons sweep of the Oilers banner looks great next to all the Stanley Cup Banne..........oh, nevermind.

Yes it is unfortunate that Debrusk can't feed these beautiful saucer passes to more Oilers only 3 times next year.

cool, so like the Oilers in 2006...we don't live in that era anymore

yup, Oilers have extremely high expectations...it will be "Cup or bust" every year as long as McDavid and Draisaitl are in their primes
they fell 2 goals short last year and loaded up this year to take another shot at it

better that than whatever the hell the Flames are trying to do

Oh Thaman is a Flames fan?

Lol that's even worse. At least the Leafs make the playoffs. And didn't have their franchise sent into a tailspin that they won't get out of by their rival.

the fact that Flames, Leafs and Canucks fans are morphing to hate on the Oilers together, creating one giant mega piss baby, kinda like the power rangers but suckier, is hilarious.

Don’t worry, you’ll get to hate watch them try again next year after your team is eliminated in January

Flames making it all the way to January without being effectively eliminated would be their own version of a cinderella run. They'll be out by Halloween.
Clearly you're not familiar with the Flames. They'll be out of it for most of the year before making a late futile charge and drafting in the middle of the first round again.

Vancouver Canuck fans are the only people on earth so dense and so in denial that they somehow find a way to tell themselves that they actually won a playoff series they lost.
