The offseason begins

That would be a very risky move by him. He needs the bills way more than they need him
The writing is on the wall really, I think there's a bunch of factors (rb market reset, bigger market perhaps, rb rotation, etc) all being led by his brother. Being dragged in the public with is not obviously enamoring them with the Bill's.

I never thought they could get Benford for a deal like this given how long it took to come together.

This is an amazing deal for the Bills.

So, essentially, it's an easy cut after 2 years? I'd assume injuries played a role in this deal. Regardless, Beane killed it with his re-signings. He does a great job getting ahead of the curve.

68th for cook? Sure. Then just use the pick to draft his cheap replacement in an excellent RB draft.

And that’s why no sensible GM would trade that pick for Cook + a contracts

That's a pretty easy no. We can get a third in a trade down if we really want one. A motivated Cook during our second window >>> a third round pick.

I guess the Pats got something for him?

Milton never would've made it to the PS, and I can't picture them keeping 3 QBs on the active roster.
A fifth for a Milton and a 7th. Milton showed well in his limited snaps, I probably would have just kept three qb's this year. NE is in the development stage not the get to the playoffs stage.

James Cook has listed his Orchard Park house for sale. Everyone has the right to move and change residences as they see fit but given his discourse and the lack of extension while everyone else was extended it's interesting.

I’m no expert on the WNY housing market, but isn’t 700k for a 2k sq ft house on a tiny lot a ‘make me move’ price.

30. Buffalo Bills: DI Derrick Harmon, Oregon

Bills fans watched Patrick Mahomes get sacked and harassed by the Eagles' incredible defensive front in the Super Bowl and want that for their team. Despite notching just five sacks in 2024, Harmon posted an incredible 17.6% pass-rush win rate from the interior and a 91.2 PFF pass-rush grade on true pass sets. This fit is perfect if that’s the fans' line of thinking.

its a 47% markup from when he bought in 2022. The housing market is crazy....don't think it's 50% ROI in 3 years crazy.
I bought my 3 BR 3 BA house for 660 in 2022 and the real estate websites value it around 850 now. I'm in a much more booming market than WNY (NYC suburb). Maybe there's some "it's James Cook's house!) baked into the market, but this strikes me as a step higher than what that caliber of house would normally go for in that market. A friend of mine that's a doctor just spent about that on a house in WNY and it's like 5 BR, 5 BA, gated community, looks like a small mansion, etc.

I say no. Bills have enough draft ammo. Have him play out his contract.
