The offseason begins

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.
    • Our 2025 light and dark themes were lost, so we are rebuilding them. Light theme is currently available, but work in progress

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

Pretty disappointed about the TWO PED suspensions tbh It's a bad look.
Even Beane said he would not of signed two players with suspensions. After the Ogunjobi signing/suspension other DTs signed elsewhere.
The NFL will have to fix all those suspension notifications to ALL come in before FA starts.

This guy mentions the Bill's may not be done on Dline. Who would everyone prefer:
Calais Campbell, ZaDarius Smith, other ?

He said he wouldn’t be surprised to see us add another pass rusher…..

Best available:
Calais Campbell
ZaDarius Snith
Dante Fowler Jr
Azeez Ojulari
Preston Smith
Charles Omenihu
Matthew Judon
Emmanuel Ogbah

Green's PFF pass pro grade is scary, a Kromer reclamation project ?

The Bill's are expecting the kickoff rules to change so makes sense to add someone Shenault.
Beane said they liked him his draft year.
Green is probably just a camp body.

OL is pretty much set I think:
Dawkins-Edwards-McGovern-Torrance-Brown
Anderson, Grable, Van Demark, SVPG

If they choose to carry 10, then Gouraige/Green/draft pick could be competing for that, but unless SVPG has already fallen out of favor, I don't expect Green to end up on the final roster.

Assume they stash Clayton on the PS again to see if they can develop something out of him as well.

Yeah. Very frustrating, and Beane is still going to sign that dude from PIT. Dumb move, imo.

I mean, on edge we have:

Groot, Espenza, Bosa, and Solomon.

Hoecht will play some there after his suspension is up.

I don't know if we are going to add more without sending a body out.

On DT we have:

Oliver, Jones, Carter, and Ogunjobi (when he's post suspension)

We likely are going to get 1 DT in day 1 or day 2.

Secondary is our biggest area of concern with Defensive line being 2nd.

He's a rotational D tackle. It's not like the difference between a good practice squad DT and him is massive IMHO. Having those extra game day spots will let be a bit sneaky is stashing practice squad guys because we have 2 DT game day slots we can promise, which other teams won't be able to .

Maybe we'll be able to find a diamond in the rough.

I wouldn’t think of Hoecht as an edge. He will play there, sure. But also at DT and LB. If they signed him just to be a rushing down DE, that strikes me as a serious mismatch of his skill set.

If there is a DE they like early, they will take him. Players like Solomon (who couldn’t even get on the field) and Epenesa (who they like but struggled mightily down the stretch) won’t preclude that.

If I had to guess how the bills use their top 3 picks, it would be one each at DT, DE, and CB, with S and WR also in play.

The defense needs good players. With their various signings, they’ve positioned themselves to where they don’t have to shoehorn in any one position and can attack talent.

Continuing to work mock drafts. I like using Brugler’s list with simulations where I play each team.

I almost universally think Beane can get the same value at 35-40 as he’ll get at 30. Hopefully a team likes a QB and wants to trade up. New Orleans seems like a good candidate.

Choice at 56 is good and almost always a good DT. I can trade for. 62 into around 70 and get the same value for a player.

This is a good ‘starter’ draft. I’d try to trade down in rounds 1 and 2 and trade up for 4 and 5.

Trading with Mickey is almost always a great idea
