I really like Josh Palmer but really don't love that number (or anything close to it to be frank) and am really concerned about lack of deep speed overall.

Mack Hollins most likely gone I would think.
Some preferred Slayton (and his speed), but he's likely even more epensive and the more I thought about that drop rate...

This is why they did it

They went a whole year without anyone getting open and still scored the second most in the league. Palmer gets open. Cooper didn’t do anything here and the offense scored a full touchdown a game more after he arrived. Now they have one player who can get open beyond the line of scrimmage

He fits the everybody eats mantra…except his plate might actually be available once in a while.

But also draft a speed guy for the outside please

Tell me more about Palmer. Why the low amount of targets and catches? Besides being behind McConkey, a rookie, did he not play a lot of offensive snaps for some reason?

Not all that impressed but Allen will elevate whoever he needs to
Very good separation (top 10 in NFL). Mediocre blocking (was taken off by Chargers in running downs) & YAC. Never has had more than 36 receptions. Hope the upside/Josh factor is there, I believe in Joe M so am hopeful.

Just to repeat I think they probably could of got Slayton but would of had to spend more and his drop rate worried me the more I read about it.

Beane was just on McAfee if someone can post the video when its out it's much appreciated.

How is Palmer still only 25?

I feel like that’s insane or I’m insane or i spend too much of my life doing fantasy football work

He went for 72/769 in '22, so he has it in him. Pretty happy with the player, seems like the $ exceeded projections.

He's a jack of all trades guy. Can play all positions. Is a good separator and route runner but not particularly dynamic. Good hands.

He's just not a target hog kind of guy. Never has been. Very much a role player.

That's why I like the player, don't like the price.

I’d still like Hollin back, which would give us Palmer, Coleman, Shakir, Samuel, and Hollin. And still room for a speed guy.

There's already a lot of cooks in the kitchen here. I don't know that Coleman can't replicate/improve upon what Hollins did this past season if he develops on track. I love Hollins but even in our egalitarian offense, some guys need to get more than just 3 targets a game.

The reported money and the actual money are never the same thing. Von Miller signed what…160 million and it ended up being 3 years 47 something?

wgr mentioned the Bill's likely had to outbid another team(s) to get Palmer (Pats maybe ?)

You can listen to Schopp's two hours of torture about crazy NFL FA spending live on wgr right now! :skeptic: :D
