Saints lol
What did they do?

Well, pressure is on now to really hit a homer in the draft on the D line.

Obviously moves can still be made. maybe there is one or two more surprise cuts. But i could us going into the draft with just another reclamation project and eyes on the draft for D line help and that's it.

Over the cap is saying we are currently at 6.3M in cap space. Not sure if that is 100% updated since our re-ups over the weekend or not. Spotrac has us similar. 6.6M .

Is there ANYone that could possibly still be a (surprise) cut by the Bills? Or a restructure? If I am reading it right, almost everyone's dead cap # is higher than their 2025 cap hit. Except for David Edwards, and I guess Epenesa.

Daquan Jones could be decent savings post June 1. Epenesa the biggest potential cut savings now. Elam if they could find someone to take him in a trade.

Oliver, Dawkins the biggest restructure candidates. I'm sure they'd love to find a way to get Knox's cap hit down without a restructure but they don't have much leverage there. McGovern extension would save money.

I will be surprised if they go the post-6/1 route this year with all the extensions that are increasing cap hits for core guys in 2026.

Agreed generally, with the exception of Jones whose post June 1 designation is the same next year as his automatic void. So for him, it's just a matter of having the player versus the 2024 cap savings (5.5 million).

Slayton, Lockett, Dyami Brown, Brandin Cooks the most interesting names to me if the Bills are looking for a fast ball. For a more well-rounded WR, Palmer is a nice jack of all trades, but doesn't really help the deep speed need.

I would be surprised if they get to the point where they don't want him on the roster this season.

The draft board would have to fall way better than I hope since I doubt there are any FA guys that they are likely to land that are instant upgrades.

Two of the bigger DT names I've seen today are more Oliver backup types than Jones upgrade types.

But, we shall see.

I like the draft if they want to add a speed WR over FA.

DJ Jones would've been the big Jones upgrade, but he's back to Denver

Agreed.

Most of the guys that would be instant upgrades didn't make it to the negotiating period. Some of the bigger names are sub-300 lb guys and not what I want to see.

I want some 320+ guys that can keep Bernard, Milano, and Taron clean.

I love the "be patient" takes needing to get out there less than an hour into the negotiation period.

It's what I'd do now that some of the higher end players have re-signed or traded/re-signed. Take some one year Leonard Floyd style flyers on veterans at key positions, and hopefully draft their replacement with the load of picks in the draft. Seems smart. That's mostly the way the Eagles have done it.
