Good for him! Good for West Herr! Very smart marketing to capitalize on the Slick Rick trend. Sneaky.

This draft is loaded with running backs. If Cook is playing hard ball, draft one in the 4th round, ride out the season, and go with Davis, Johnson, and the rookie afterwards.

I could get on board with this. I could even be convinced to trade that Diva. Not sure what ya get though. Is he even worth the 3rd rounder we drafted him with since he needs to get paid?

Would give us more capital for Garrett, or a new RB, etc.

Then stay away from Social Media.

If we as a fanbase want to promote our guys and push them being more valuable, then we need to accept that players might feel the same way and use that to benefit themselves financially. Sorry to say and burst peoples' bubbles, the majority of players in the league and in any sports leagues, are going to look to get as much money as possible for their craft to build wealth while they can perform, over giving their respected teams a team discount. It's just the nature of the beast of business side of the sports.
I don't have an issue with Cook trying to get his payday. These players are all 1 hit away from retirement. My issue is with him doing dumb shit like stop following the Bills and removing most of his Bills content.

I love Cook the running back but him doing petty shit this off-season was sort of expected. His brother has been ramping him up online all season, he was around Diggs like a shadow at all times last season and during the Pro Bowl, and he walked out on a $1,000+ tab at Venu off Chippewa this past October. I wouldn't say him doing "dumb shit" comes as a surprise.

Anytime these talking head/message board remonstrations come up over professional athletes' character (especially something as benign as contract negotiations), I just get Bill Burr stuck in my head.

I don't think you need to get a RB this year. There will probably be solid players available at the position in next year's draft too. It's the one position I never really worry about the NCAA churning out good ones year after year. You might not get a Cook but you should be able to pull a Singletary-level back any year, and with Davis already in the stable it's simply less of a concern.

Not sure if it's true or not but I just saw a post on FB that Cook unfollowed the Bills on Instagram and removed all Bills images from his page

Bills front four is the issue. Be it just getting over powered, or is it not staying disciplined and staying in your lane.

Selling Dejean short as good for a rookie. PFF has Cooper Dejean the highest rated DB in the league. Wild for a rookie.
DeJean was my guy in the draft so I’m not likely to sell him short. But playing outside as a boundary CB is a much harder position to play, which is why I said it the way I did.
How do we carry four all year? Gilliam or Morris and wouldn't be active I assume.
Bills carried 5 receivers when they historically carried 6. The roster can be managed.
I like the theory here.......problem is, we haven't carried 4 RBs on the active roster in a while and there's zero chance a 4th round pick makes it to the practice squad.

I’d rather have one this year so when the Bills need him in 2026 he’s not a rookie. And this year’s class is historically good in terms of depth.

It can, but unfortunately the question is how. I don't see how we can carry four RB active all season. The fact that we already had to sacrifice a WR spot to bolster elsewhere is moreso counter evidence.

More likely I think Cook leaves after next season and we just collect surplus talent from the overflowing RB pool (thanks to the 2025 class). If 20 quality RBs enter the league this year, there will be plenty to go around.

helluva touchdown he made at KC and some truly amazing broken tackles as he's evolved diva or not it's up to the entire offense how valuable.. he's certainly more valuable than von Miller

the prejudice level of blacks screaming and whites yelling and rb yelling , let the O and Josh Cook and beane decide what an excellent 2 down back that's helped win many games this last year is worth

I think anything over 900 thousand dollars a year and tickets over thirty as disposable income goes from 70 percent to 50 to thirty and below us disgusting to me personally and makes me hate sports
.
if I hear money and whining on a team destroyed and fd by this wwe league fook you I won't watch as anyone who complains about THEM or AI or the March against humanity is xd out by the controllers and the Talmud followers that carry it out .

for talent and unity only on the team if playing sports we should keep the O intact w cook and cooper and add wr if they feel they need to outscore the league and D line and corner to win by 17 and 24 to fook all scripts and narratives and zebras and zapping .

The Bills carried 5 WRs in 2024 and 2023.

And in 2022 and 2021, they carried 6 and dressed 5 in most games:

It seems like they responded to the changes to the PS elevation rules and just go with the 5 WRs that will dress every game and not have a 6th WR on the 53 that is a healthy scratch and use that roster spot in other areas, mainly the lines.
