Ehhhhhhhh. At his size, he's likely to be most effective out of the slot......and hopefully we've got Shakir there for a long, long time. I wouldn't take Bond with a pick that's likely necessary to get him (ie, 2nd rounder).

But it does go toward our March holiday so it is welcome.I figured the same as soon as it got out of hand. The bookies, Vegas, and online likely took a pretty good beating on the over despite making out on the the KC betting during the week.

He played out wide around 75% of the time this season at Texas. I could see him being a chess piece that Brady moves around a lot and adds what they have been missing from a speed perspective.
And from what I am seeing, a lot of people are projecting him as a late 2nd round guy.

Orlovsky should leave ESPN. It's a trash lowest common denominator type network. He'd be a much better fit with The Athletic or The Ringer

As for WR in the draft, I just don't think it's good resource allocution to use another top 60 pick on a pass catcher, after taking Coleman, Kincaid, and Cook the last 3 drafts, trading a 3rd for Cooper, and probably giving a big contract to Shakir. We complained they weren't investing enough resources in giving Allen weapons. And then they did. The offense is great now. And they need to look elsewhere.
I'd take a day 3 WR every season, because it's such a rich talent pool and you never know when you'll strike gold. But another highly drafted WR just reeks of poor resource management to me.

The challenge is that he is really good as a TV studio guy and all of those shows have devolved into hot take BS.
GMFB on the NFL Network might be the best of the bunch. And there are still some NFLN shows that are good.
I would love to see NFLN do something with Greg Cosell, Dan Orlovsky, and someone that is like those two, but on the defensive side of the ball. Belichik was good before he followed his GF back to campus.

GMFB is the only show I'll watch, and even so, it's every now and then. Everything else is hot take central. Orlovsky is thoughtful so he comes across as the outlier on ESPN.
And, Allen doesn't really need it. I boundary receiver with speed is what the offense could use. And even so, it's not a dire need. More like a good-to-have want.
I'd love for Beane to combine what the Eagles did with the old Jimmy Johnson rotational lineman system. Eg: draft Tyleik Williams and Deone Walker, and rotate with Jones, Oliver, and Carter. It might mean Oliver is a pass down DT. And I'm ok with that.

PFF doesn't rate Walker that high (92 overall). Al Collins would've been another good DT pick. Ken Grant and Al Collins sound like player names from the 1980s Redskins. Therefore, I think they will be good picks.

I don't have any problem with taking a wide-receiver or tight-end every year. As long as it isn't any earlier than a third. Between free agency and the likelihood of a missed pick, there's always a need to keep the talent pool flush and affordable.
Regarding the next great Rousseau debate, I really do see his Bills' career playing out like Edmunds'. He's a really good player on and off the field, who's going to be due for a massive pay raise. But at the end of the day, with Allen making what he is, the Bills are in no position to pay market value for players that aren't impact players at their respective position. What I'm not going to love seeing is a capable player in his mid-20s leave the roster, while Beane's doing everything he can to fight the tides.

I'd like to draft a developmental LG. Maybe the failed QB sneaks on his back pushed me over the edge, but I'm not wild about Edwards as a long-term option. Jackson Slater seems like a HR in the mid-rounds.

Isn't this Anderson ? But sure, you can draft a late G, but OL is at about the bottom of the need scale tbh.
They also have two developmental Tackles in RVDM and Grable (who they also kept on the active roster and put IR)
Another I don't think they would of kept VPG on the active roster all year if they didn't think he can develop

Man they had the replay on at bowling and if the KC offense is normal bad and get into the locker room 10-0 they have a real chance to adjust and win that game. Mahomes absolutely imploded - there wasn't even really pressure on the picks he threw. Philly left a ton of points on the field before DeJean's pick 6.

Really nice prospect. Also doubles as developmental swing tackle. Curious if he has the mass stick at guard.
Slater sounds a bit like the guard/center version of Spencer Brown to me. Mean, rugged, leader, good pass pro.

Smart teams draft on both lines all the time I think. Especially with an abundance of later picks (though we won't draft all 10 guys).
Work with Kromer and scout staff to ID guys with potential that can be developed like Anderson, VDM, Grable have been.
We've also been absurdly lucky with injuries two years in a row. Knock on wood but going to need that depth some day.
