If we aren't bringing back Douglas at CB2, we need to draft a CB in round 2 at the latest. It's a much bigger need than WR imo. The off-season you showed with Levi Wallace as CB2 feels too precarious to make a SB run.

I do like Grant a ton though.

For sure. Hell, I'd say take one in round 1 or 2 and then again in a later round. McDermott seems good at developing the project guys. I want our secondary to actually feel deep for the first time in a couple years.

Yeah... Still fresh wounds, but it can be argued that the sunk cost of Elam shackling him to the CB3 spot ended up losing the KC game for us. He's very possibly not an NFL corner, but they couldn't admit it and get a vet (like Levi Wallace) for that spot. Sucks that injury made it matter, but it did.

I agree CB is a bigger need than WR, but I don't think the draft pick needs to be a 2nd round pick to fill that hole. Day 3 pick + Elam + Ingram + vet FA would be my approach.

I think secondary is the biggest need. You probably need to trade/cut Elam.

Not bringing back Douglas.

Draft a CB, Sign a CB, Sign a safety, don't sign Hamlin.

At WR it depends on Cooper. If he doesn't want to take a paycut to stay, then you are looking out for another top 2 WR, which is $$$.

My wife speculated (don’t know if she saw a media source) that Browns may be in their rights to void Watson contract as he had some kind of car issue / roadside assistance with a girlfriend where he was filmed without a boot after his Achilles rupture and Browns could argue he wasn’t following medical authority for his recovery.

If browns could void Watson, landscape changes.

It would change the landscape, but what it would most likely do is hold firm and not trade Garrett and then go take a swing at Darnold or something. Eitherway I think it's super unlikely Browns can get out from under watson.

Grievances, Union involved, bad look on the org for players in general never wanting to play/sign there. Doubt it happens.

It's super early, but I bet BB is thinking about this. What would comp picks look like for 2026 draft? I know we need to see this FA period run it's course, but still.

IF the Browns agreed to a post 6/1 trade with Garrett and we basically have to mortgage the 2026 1st and 2nd round picks. Do we see a scenario where we are again getting comp'd a 3rd, 4th and/or 5th rounder in 2026? Does trading for Garrett actually hurt us in the comp pick formula or is that only losing someone via FA?

If we are loading up with Garrett I think it would be prudent to trade one of our 2nd rounders this year for a either a 1st in 2026 or a 2nd ++ in 2026, just so the cupboard isn't empty going into next offseason where we may need help on the O-line/WR, RB, etc.

As the entire depth behind Benford? That doesn't feel like a contender's CB room.

I'm of the mind that Elam can't and won't be here next year.

Are people ready to pass on Douglas for cost or performance? Noticed that WGR hosts were talking about him as if he’s already gone

Both. I don't think he'll be worth the contract that he's likely to get in free agency. His performance really waned as the season went on. And he kind of has a habit of doing that.....with Philly, Carolina and Green Bay he would have stretches of brilliance and then stretches where he almost wasn't playable.

I think Greg & Aaron did a good job bucketing the Bills FAs into "Let go", "Bring back if the price is right", and "Must re-sign [unless the money is insane]".

Rasul is in that kind of bucket where you let him hit the market and only bring him back if the market isn't there, like with Jordan Poyer two years ago.

If Burrow cared about winning, he wouldn't want want two high paid WRs and an aging defensive end. Even with a restructure, that's an untenable position on the cap.
