Wellllll, this 2-round mock is different.

In round 1, he has us taking S Nick Emmanwori out of South Carolina. With the following still on the board: DT Kenneth Grant, EDGE Mike Green, DT Tyleik Williams, CB Shavon Revel Jr, DT Deone Walker....oh, and MALAKI STARKS STILL ON THE BOARD (he goes to the Giants in round 2)

In round 2 (56), he has us taking DT Joshua Farmer, Florida State. With DT Deone Walker still on the board.

In round 2 (62), he has us taking EDGE Landon Jackson, Arkansas

So in a vacuum: I like all 3 picks on D. I like that we get a safety, DT and EDGE with our top 3 picks. But holy christ do I disagree with the first 2 players he took. If Starks somehow manages to be on the board in round 1 for us......I am sprinting like The Flash to take Starks there. I mean......dude is the next great young safety.

At 56, I like Walker over Farmer if the medicals on his back check out.
As an FSU fan, I wouldn’t take Farmer on day 2.

Seems like Myles should cost a bit les than the Mack trade, since he is entering age 29 where Mack was entering age 27 season. Those are two PRIME years.

Mack's trade: Mack, 2nd round and 7th round for Two 1st rounders, a 3rd and a 6th.

Taking the 2nd+7th and 3rd+6th out of it. Mack was essentially traded fpr two first rounders.

Garrett should cost what? 1st and 2nd round this year, plus as additional pick next year? Another 1st seems too rich tbh. Maybe 2026 2nd?

Same thoughts as before the TDL. ANYTHING it takes to get MG to Buff he IS the missing piece.
Ehhhhh, he's A missing piece. Granted, he's likely to make our secondary look better due to the pressure -- but we still need a legit #2 CB and an upgrade on Rapp. And a guy to put next to Oliver.

But getting Garrett, a #2 CB and an upgrade at safety and a guy next to Oliver.......that instantly improves the D.

In acquiring him and sign him sacrafises who else for cap reaskns?

I'm reasonably sure the Myles Garrett trade request just bought Kevyn Adams like 2 months free of public pressure.
The problem with the Bill's would be the value of any picks nearer the end of the 1st/2nd rounds, so it will make it hard to beat other offers. "Perhaps" they would be interested in Groot extended + picks but not sure that's doing it either.

Doesn't matter if the 1sts are more near 2nds if he 1. requested a trade and 2. said he wants to go to a SB contender all of those picks would be late 1sts. It's not like were competing with NE. MG would have the same thoughts being on a team like that as he does playing for the Browns.

If Garrett wants to go to a contender, all offered picks will be at the end of the 1st/2nd round. The only "contender" who would have a better pick would be the Niners given their craptastic season.

But Buffalo's offer would/will be competitive with everyone else.

Assuming that the browns will work with MG to find a mutually beneficial suitor, one benefit to Buffalo’s case is that there are few options that would be less of an uprooting than a few hours’ drive down the 90

This seems roughly accurate given Garrett's age. Maybe a 1st, 2nd, plus a future 2nd or 3rd and you get a 4th or 5th back from Cleveland

Yeah. Im all-in on Myles. We need our impact d- lineman like KC has. He has a good 3+ years left of elite play barring injury.

“So let me say in terms of Myles, my anticipation, expectation, is that he’ll have a direct ticket from Cleveland to Canton at the end of his [years] and expect him to be here and retire a Brown, quite frankly,” Berry said.

So you can’t say it wasn’t pointed that on Monday, in his public request, Garrett included this line

“The goal was never to go from Cleveland to Canton, it has always been to compete for and win a Super Bowl,” Garrett wrote in his statement, just before transitioning to his ultimate request. “With that in mind, I have requested to be traded from the Cleveland Browns.”

I would easily give up a 1st + 2nd this year, a 1st next year and Rousseau or Elam or both.

I know multiple firsts sounds like a lot. But we are talking about late round picks.
Also, go back and look at a list of the Bills 1st round picks under McDermott and Beane. Out of all those players picked, the only one I wouldn’t trade for Myles Garrett is Josh Allen.

Tre White
Tremaine Edmunds
Ed Oliver
Greg Rousseau
Kaiir Elam
Dalton Kinkaid

I’ve been underwhelmed by a lot of Buffalo’s 1st round picks. I think Beane does his best work in the mid/late rounds anyway.

I don’t think the Bills really have even a single player on defense that teams truly have to adjust their game plans for. They don’t have a Chris Jones, that’s for sure. Myles Garrett would give them a truly elite player on defense that can single handedly wreck game plans/games.

I would give up a lot to get him.

If they trade Rousseau in the package to get Garrett and they cut Von Miller as expected, the DE depth is Garrett, Epenesa, and Solomon entering the offseason.

I don't think they can give up Groot to get Garrett.

Yep, I want Groot to play LDE 100% of the time now, people forget he still hasn't even turned 25 yet, I firmly believe there is still more to come from him.

Yeah. I'd rather not include Rousseau. I'm envisioning having one of the best DE duos in the NFL + one of the best tackle duos in the NFL + and elite QB. That's a perfect recipe for a SB run!

Is Garrett just as effective from either side, a la Dahlin?
I'd be inclined to believe you can play that man anywhere on the line, and he'd be a game wrecked. Would be nice to have Rousseau in his natural spot on the line, and Myles tearing it up on the other side.
