So we are both right then :)

Ankle first, knee then. I do think knee injury was very bad.
Still might be rushing it. Well, at least eight games played this season, so fair to assume it is pretty healed now.

No, you said he had a bum knee twice. ;) He didn't miss any action (games or training sessions) because of the aggravation. And he's played 5 games this pre-season... ;)

He has played 9 games this pre season!

I´m pretty sure you know what those other games are!
My tracking for TP is 9 games 3+6=9

Ah, you're including the U-20 games and stats.

Anyway, here's a poor quality video of Pulkkinen's goal against HIFK from Thursday (at the end, barely visible):

Pulkkinen is going to wristsurgery, and he's out for three months. He'll propably miss WJC's, which is huge loss for Team Finland and for Pulkkinen himself.

Edit. I should read the other threads :)

Kid has 'Red Wings steal' written all over him.

I hope you're right.. I definitely wouldn't mind if he drops and the Wings picks him somewhere between 20 and 30:D

With the way the Wings are playing right now, they might pick earlier than that, but I'm going to assume they'll pick things up..

Ugh...

Well... Finland's riding on Mikael Granlund right now.

Pulkkinen shoulda gone to the Kelowna Rockets like he was rumored to.

I wouldn't bet on the Wings finishing out of the top 5 in the West. They'll get it together, but sadly they'll watch Gordie Clark call Pulkkinen's name with the Rangers first round pick. ;)

He couldn't have gone there because he had a professional contract with Jokerit and he wasn't planning on playing this season there anyway.

Well obviously. I'm just saying... Hindsight is 20/20

any kind of an update on Teemu's status?

The more I have read about him, the more I like, is he still slated to miss the WJC?

I really hope he plays a good 2nd season half with Jokerit. Would be great to see him on a line with Bremberg.
And he also has the chance for a good U18 World Championship. Lets hope he is drafted in the first round, but that will be very difficult after missing the WJC.

Finland beat Slovakia 5-3 at the U-18 tourney in Switzerland. Pulkkinen had 1+1 and Donskoi two assists. And no, they shouldn't have been picked for the WJC instead of this tournament. Both coming off of long injuries, Pulkkinen sooner than expected and Donskoi's recovery prolonged by a bout of fever.

Pulkkinen also had an assist, so 1+1. Hopefully this gives Teemu some confidence and helps him produce better with Jokerit in the Sm-liiga. He really needs some points to continue his development and impress the scouts for the Draft.

Why not use him as a 13th forward? someone like him can be really valuable to your lineup and normal 13h forwards hardly play. If he could produce its another weapon to thw WJC roster.

Because the last time he played was almost 3 months ago. No sense in taking a player lacking any match fitness to play in the WJC.

After the U-18 tournament in Switzerland, Pulkkinen has now played two games with the Jokerit A-juniors, he got 1+1 in a win vs TPS and 0+2 in a loss against Tappara. He'll apparently play a month with the A-juniors and then his situation/form will be evaluated again. Jokerit SM-liiga team appears to be now set for the first two lines (Bremberg-Hauhtonen-Hentunen, Lahti-Pirnes-Rita) and a third line (Lind-Mäki-Ben-Amor)seems to be doing it's checking duties well too. Jokerit are looking for another center so if Pulkkinen gets the call-up, he'll most likely play with that guy and Ossi Saarinen as the third offensive line. If there is no new guy, then JM-Juutilainen will probably be tried between those guys.
