You may know where your seat is, however the ushers still feel the need to check your tickets and make sure you're going to the right spot.

I don't mind the lanyards...it's something for me to stick my ticket in, I flash it, and then go to my seat. They don't have to give us anything, so it's a nice gesture.

I love the lanyards. It's a great place to put my ticket in and not have to worry about having a 3rd hand to show my ticket to the usher when it's requested. Personally though I've gone to sporting events in other states (away from tri state) and the ushers always ask EVERYONE for their tickets, and hell, some even walk with you to your seat.. what a concept! :P

You would think but thats not the case at all. The lady at stand behind my section knows me better then ushers and I don't even go there all the time.

after sitting in 125 for 3 seasons now, the ushers don't know me from jack. It's interesting though, one of the ladies from the beer stand in the area always says hello and how I am to me when I roam the concourse, and I don't buy beer all that often from there.. LOL. :) It's really just on the actual person who cares (or doesnt). Over at Citi Field, i am recognized more often than not but again not by the ushers but by the concession or team store folks..

Brick City/ Uber started off well, but the owners than sold to one of the Devils minority owners, I think Simon, and he hired the wrong people to run both. The quality declined and so did the amount of customers.

It's a prime space for another eatery.

I miss the uber burger and coffee place! It was a great pre/post game hang out.

I liked the coffee there a lot too.

There is still the same sign on the window since last year that says:
Closed for renovations

I think they plan on bringing in another national chain for that spot.

Anyone know of parking that's the least painful way leave and go to Rt 21 to the turnpike?

Park in the Ironbound. Right under the bridge of Newark Penn. Plenty safe there. You can park at any of the Park Fast lots if you don't want to walk further, but there is a lot right on Market St. You can pick up your car, make the right, drive down market to jefferson make a right on jefferson and drive all the way down towards south street. You then make a left, make your first right (on-ramp) and you're on 1/9 on your way to the turnpike. Pretty well marked.

If you don't want to venture into the Ironbound you can park at any of the lots on Mulberry and use the same strategy, drive to the IB, and hit the NJTP traffic free.

It would be a great spot for a Tim Hortons, since they're a PruCenter vendor/sponsor, and they keep pushing for franchising in the NYC/NJ area.

Excellent idea!

With more events being planned and scheduled at The Rock, combined with the new Marriott Hotel, City Hall, the courts, etc, it would do well if it is marketed the right way.

The former Starbucks on Broad St I heard did great sales but the owner of the building jacked up the lease so high that forced them out.

I actually think Tim Horton's is only focused on NY right now. I looked into it and they said they were only opening up in NY (even after I told them it's all one market and that they are wasting money advertising to people in NJ if they're only expanding to NY right now)

Good point, advertise inside The Rock, but no plans to open stores in NJ?
Makes little sense.

There's a 10 dollar lot I like on Bruen just north of Lafayette now that that whole neighborhood is permit parking only, probably thanks to cheap ****s like me who refuse to pay to park my car. You can easily snake your way through the Ironbound and pop out on 21 a block south of the Lukoil station.

Parking

What parking lot area around Prudential that is close to the Garden State Parkway? How much does it cost to park there? Thanks.

The parkway? Nothing is close to the PW. parkway is way out west.

If you want you can do one of two things;

1) Park by "Don Pepe's" lot which is east of the law school. You can get right on 21, take it to 280 w, and hop on the PKWY.

2) Park at Penn Station (any of the lots there really. 10 min walk with lots of cops). Take ferry to jackson, drive up jackson. Left on 280.

Hobby's serves up great food with a smile.
Every fan should check them out.
They even have vegetarian dishes to include everyone.
