My complaints about the new formattimg from using the website on mobile.
Page numbers aren’t listed at the top of the page, so you have to scroll to the bottom and you can’t click on a certain page when you first click on the thread.
Alerts are not listed in an easy place to find. You have to go to your settings.
Proposals in the trade board have the same tag as trades. I think this is a little visually misleading.
That’s all I’ve discovered so far that bothers me in about 45 minutes, but there will probably be more.

I changed the settings on both Chrome and Brave a long time ago to automatically implement dark mode on all webpages, so this isn't a problem for me. If you don't know how to do that, just go to Chrome://flags and type in "dark mode" and then click "enable" on Auto Dark Mode for Web Contents. If you use Brave, just change Chrome to Brave and do the exact same, if you use some other browser, I dunno what to tell you.
I've been using dark mode for almost five years now, I'll never go back.

This is a good tip I didn't know, thanks.
My only complaint is it makes some images and emojis negative, making them look a bit weird.
But you've saved my eyeballs, thanks again!

Had this for a while but it has some really poor interactions with thing like google slides; where when this is enabled, every spreadsheet is white text on white background etc.

Can we have different styles for the board? I liked the blue (Didn't like the orange) and I liked Dark mode. It doesn't need to be red all the way around, and having that option would be nice.

When reporting issues with the theme or the functionality of the site, please indicate whether you are using that site via Mobile or Desktop. It matters!

If you're using a built-in "forced dark mode", be sure to indicate as such if ever you have issues with the site. That's something the browser does to alter the site on the fly and so it's in no way under the control of HF.
It would be nice if the template for HFBoards was open sourced with a repo that would take public pull requests.
I'm sure there are a lot of people on here so frustrated that they would just fix things (for free).

Can we make dark mode permanent and not the emotional only-when-i-feel-like-it dark mode?
For anyone in the know... any chance is there an ETA on getting a dark mode back for desktop? I know it's unlikely, but just thought I'd ask.

Xenforo's approach to templating renders this at best impractical. (It's a f***ing madhouse.)
I have to work at my real job today so fixing all the various noise and QOL features is not going to happen until later tonight or tomorrow morning. Assume if there was some little feature or thing on the site before the update, I'm going to try and return it.

I just added the Dark Reader chrome extension and it is saving my eyes until the designers get finished

As for the lack of built-in dark mode, it isn't an issue for me because I have the Dark Reader extension installed. It's available for all of the major desktop browsers and for a few mobile browsers that support extensions (I use Kiwi Browser on my phone).
With Dark Reader, I personally like to crank the contrast setting all of the way up to achieve true black mode...
