Awwwww the nostalgy. Wasn't even lurking here but that default layout of vB/clones was everywhere. What I would give to make the internet like that again instead of this current social media must-login-to-see-and-oh-yeah-we-sell-your-info-too shenanigans.

Seems like HFBoards has lots of f*** ups and updates, usually both at the same time, compared to other forums.

I imagine there is still a lot to be done in terms of fine tuning the spacing, fonts, etc. None of the preferences take effect when you switch them either so that still needs to be worked on.

I would be incredibly disappointed if this was a final product.

How did you get yours to be black? I had it like that before the update yesterday and now it's back to light mode for me.

By default it's tied to your OS (or browser) settings; if your default is dark mode, it'll be in dark mode.

Xenforo does provide a way of forcibly switching that, but that may not be available to us until the theme reworking is done.

Site owners / techs are working again so you may see some more weird stuff before the day is out (slowness, theme changes, etc)

I don't mind this look too much. It's a jarring change to be sure, but I use dark mode on everything.

We couldn’t have gotten a warning the site was going to be down? I spent a bunch of time trying to figure out if it was a browser issue yesterday.

Same here. First I cleared my cache, my cookies from the site. Was a little confused. Plus what else am I supposed to do while watching hockey?

Night mode really isn't bad.
The regular mode looks lame; although, I started to use night mode after the ~2018 switch because the white space for that version blew out my retinas.

Where would you guys go if this place shut down?
