Xenforo Cloud will be upgrading us to version 2.3.5 on March 3rd at 12 AM GMT. This version has increased stability and fixes several bugs. We expect downtime for the duration of the update. The admin team will continue to work on existing issues, templates and upgrade all necessary available addons to minimize impact of this new version. Click Here for Updates

Ownership was informed that an update was coming. Site admins were not. And literally nobody knew that said update would bring the site's theme to its knees.
I for one am hoping XFCloud provides "testing" instances to clients in the future to prevent this sort of thing. IIRC this is arguably the first truly big update since they started the service (certainly the first since HF moved to same) and some lessons should be learned.
The upgrade to the new version of XF was planned. The new version of XF breaking every single theme element of a dozen or so sites (not just HF) was not.

Yeah, I feel the same about "sad". On That Other Site I Help Admin, we (well, I) custom added a "solidarity" reaction emoji as well for similar purposes.
"Dislike", OTOH, is... not helpful IMO.

Just here to say after understanding the situation, thank you admins for working hard to try and bring our forum back. Tough situation to be thrown into having everything reset unexpectedly and a bunch of upset users.
