Lmao at the Sens for going after Hischier for putting the puck in the net after the horn.
Yeah really, he could have scored before the horn. Instead he let time go out and let the puck slide in.

He should have taken a slap shit once he got to the foot of the crease.

wow... Pittsburgh are in the playoff (for now).... I has sure they would miss the playoff after the trade of Guentzel.

The Flyers are choking hard in the last 10 games. The John Tortorella effect is already over?
Feels like the Therrien effects. Habs always started the season on fire and as it moved forward the players always ran out of mental and physical energy playing for those type of coaches.

How soon we forget, before start of season everyone projected bottom dweller & rebuild…

I think it's safe to say size will be only one of the secondary boxes our scouting group will be assessing when ranking the players.
It will only tip the scale if the fundamentals quotient score is equal and even then only after psychological profile has been factored in.
Nobody should doubt that our current scouting team look at a hell of a lot more facets than their predecessors when listing players.

Our teams were always small upfront. At the beginning of the year there is much more open ice. As things get tighter teams just lean on us and wear us out.

Basically guaranteed to finish between 5-8. Calgary plays SJ x 2, ANA, ARI in 4 of their last 6 games. Would have to think they win at least 2 games. Pretty confident OTT loses out rest of season, no way Habs finish behind them. Only hope is ARI winning a few games to help Habs get 6th overall for lottery odds.

Why do you think Ottawa loses out? They did pretty well last night against Jersey.

How we do against the Isles and Wings will determine a lot of our own point total.

Tough schedule and they're in shambles.

Yeah I just looked at it after reading your post.

Sometimes a team goes on a skid, and then gets out of the funk. The Jets were sinking at the TDL, then went on a run, then went on a bad skid, and then bow seem to be on a run. Hard to predict how a team will do week to week.

They've had our number all year. Hopefully Tkachuk is on his game when we pkay them and they beat us again.

I think San Jose and Chicago will pick a F but It wouldn't shock me to see Anaheim, Columbus, and Arizona go after Dmen.

If pick 6th, we just may have a chance at Lindstrom though his injury history does worry me

I can see SJS and CHI take a Dman if not picking 1OA. I think evry team s ranking is going to be different if the current draft rankings are any indication. I could see Demidov dropping : winger, playing in a lower league… I am the minority on this site but I would not take a gamble on Lindstrom due to injury issues, esp with Dach already injury prone.

Bottom 5, 6, 7 or 8.

That's going to be that.

That's a very good top 10 this year, like 2022, 2023... the top 10 is very good.

2022, Habs picked Slaf, elite two-way powerforward potential. He already play like a top 6 in his 2nd year. Great 1st overall. Nash level type of 1st overall. Hossa, Svechnikov, Rantanen type of guy that he can become and have same impact.

2023, Habs picked Reinbacher at 5, the best D in 2023. No doubt. His two-way game is very good. He have all tools to become a top pairing D in NHL. Drafting that type of D, worth a top 5 selection. If he have the same impact of a Noah Dobson, that's a huge win for the future. I believe in him. I trust Habs scouts and I think they take a special player right there.

2024, Habs will pick top 8 this year, a forward will be the best scenario between Catton, Eiserman, Iginla, Helenius. Helenius is the only who are not "sexy" pick. But if he is the guy, I trust the scouts. If Habs win top 2 at draft lottery day, it's Celebrini at 1 or Lindstrom//Demidov at 2. That's perfect.

If we can go 2-4 we have a half decent chance to end the season at the #5 spot.

At least some crummy teams (PHI, NYI, DET ×2) we're about to play are still in a dogfight (or pillow fight) for the playoffs. Let's hope the Red Wings aren't totally out of it for games 81 and 82.

Watch us shock the hockey world with a win against NYR, and both Ottawa and Arizona lose their respective games.

Honestly speaking though, I do hope Suzuki can break 80 points (and Caufield 60, and Slaf 50). Would be pretty cool!
Pts per game isn’t what is was though. Now it is 100+ that needs to be aimed for. It’s all relative.
