The NHL gains more than it loses when players participate in the Olympics

I like that roulette effect where the teams have to get who they can and all that waiting and speculating for the possible reinforcements. Not being able to necessarily play the same-old-same-old tested good combos gives other players the chance to shine should they choose to grab it.

Can answer the following questions for me? I can't seem to find an answer online.

What is the continuity of Finland's WC roster. How many players play in multiple tournaments or consecutive tournaments? Is there a certain portion of the roster that is pretty consistent?

Also how far out is Finland's team picked? Do they start to skate and train together as soon as Liiga, KHL etc.. ends and then add in whatever other players become available? Do they have a training camp?

I'd like to leave this for better-informed Finns to answer, because those really are too good questions for me to ruin with my Karjala-cap casual fan answers. What I can say is that they tend to leave some room open in the roster until very late period for to allow any interesting Finnish NHLers in if it looks like someone's NHL team might flunk from the playoffs. I think it has happened that the games have sometimes been well underway before the final roster has been locked. Generally the guys seem to be pleased to come, most likely it has been discussed through by the player and the coaching team beforehand.

players below a certain age all have the opportunity to play, the world juniors arent played during the playoffs. I can't control how players develop, does this punish late bloomers, sure. Will all players from the wjhc pan out? no but it is the most level.

as for the iihf, can I guess to pay for rene fassel's suits and his hair stylist?

No, you may not guess. I told you it's easy to find via google.

Also, at junior level the the size of a country/prospect pool tends to show up more than at senior level.

if not your student or secretary. The depth question is not the same, who are the players under a certain age that are being held out form the WJHC ?

If its not his suits and hair, how about mustache wax ?

World Championship revenue goes mostly to the host federation, the rest IIHF uses to fund all those lower level tournaments that don't make profit and to help hockey development. For crying out loud, google "IIHF revenue" and click the first link. :shakehead
