So the real question as we move through the spring is....how far can Crosby lead his team? Do they have the goaltending and depth to take full advantage of what he is continuing to be able to do in the playoffs?

This is starting to get very interesting and downright scary - when was the last time that a rookie came into the league at 16 and consistently lead his team in this manner? I have often disputed the predictions that kick around this kid - but it would be a treat to be wrong.

How far can they go?

He has been better than I thought he would be because this tournament is just so tough for 16-year-olds. The team must have told him about his role (earlier on) and he bought into it."

See, Crosby just got to have fun playing hockey at the World Juniors.

In French, the obvious native tongue of SpezNc, Czechoslovakia is spelled Tchecoslovaquie. Trying to anglicize the name, he replaced the last "e" with an "a," which gives a word that is phonetically identical to the English version. It was nice of you to jump on him for using his second language. I'd like to see you go to a French, Russian, Finnish, Swedish, German, Czech or Slovak messageboard and talk with their members. And at the very least they would appreciate you for trying to speak the language instead of questioning your education.

Furthermore, even a blind man could see that he knows that "tchecoslovaquia" is two countries (hence why he explicitly wrote "2 countries" in parenthesis). It is also plainly obvious that he is using the word "tchecoslovaquia" the same way people use Scandanavia, hence why he used them in the same sentence, with the same context. If anything, call him out on that mistake.

By the way, you forgot the question mark in your last question. Where did you learn grammar?

How far can they go?

They only won 1 game out of 11 when Sidney was at World Juniors so that shows
you what kind of depth they have.They are younger than most teams and they
should be really strong next year. They have some other good forwards and a
couple of good defencemen and an average goalie. Their biggest weakness is
depth on defence.To go further(providing they beat shawinagin)they would
most probably face Cape Breton who were extremely strong even before the
return of Marc Andre Fleury. It will probably be a Cape Breton vs. Gatineau final
as these teams are loaded with depth.As far as predictions don't worry about
that.If you get a chance to see this kid play then take it because what he's
doing NOW is incredible.

As he should, seeing as he's younger than Ovechkin. YOu'd think that as Ovechkin get solder he becomes a better leader, obviously not.

Obviously not. That's why he was named Captain of the team right? The point is Ovechkin had 100,000,000,000,000 times the pressure Sidney Crosby had in that tournament. Crosby had fun while Ovechkin was expected by his team to perform superhuman feats while they sat back and watched. Ovechkin did amazingly well (5 goals 2 assists in 6 games on a loser team) considering those circumstances. Crosby did well of course but he had no pressure from his team to be "the man", all he had to do was have fun. That won't last long. Eventually he will be so hyped and hyped and hyped and he won't have the excuse of age anymore. The difference between what Crosby will be expected to do then and what Ovechkin is expected to do now is that with Ovechkin in this last tournament was expected not only by the media and scouts and fans to perform, as Crosby will be, but also by his own team while they sat back and did nothing. We'll see if that happens to Crosby.
