The New York Islanders are fun to watch!

The first 1.1/4 periods of that game last night was was like trying to watch an unprepped colonoscopy exam. I say this about both teams as Bruin fan.
Yikes, why didnt you prep for your colonoscopy?

You know your doctor asks you to fast for a reason right? RIP your doctor's nose.

I’ve never watched my own colonoscopy, but I imagine watching one with zero prep was comparable to watching large portions of that game last night. Both teams were tough to watch. Also , growing annoyed with the frequency the nhl is calling back goals, but I digress.

It really wasn’t. I’d say a solid majority of fans here would watch games against the Isles and find them less interesting than games against other teams. It worked, your team was successful with it, it just wasn’t usually much fun for other parties to watch.
I found that when your team played the Isles it was boring because Isles would limit scoring chances, specifically rushes against which is one of the more exciting plays in the sport. But somehow when playoffs rolled around the Isles were a fun neutral team to root for.

So much for Splittin Chiclets...

Though the blown leads I fear will cost them at the end, they should be comfortably in 2nd place right now in the Metro possibly even challenging the Rangers for the division. Eventually the Devils and Canes will wake up you think

They have been winning a lot of 1 goal games recently with a hot powerplay. They have also been pretty disciplined not taking many penalties. Is it sustainable, who know? I still find them pretty boring to watch, their game just seems slow and dull, however Hickey is pretty good on their broadcasts.
Hickey will eventually do national broadcasts. He’s very good.

I guess. But winning 3-0 was not boring for isles fans. Not our fault other teams couldn’t score.

They’re fun to watch unless you’re an isles fan. Then you’ll have heart palpitations and agita throughout every game.

Oh? Are we doing jinx threads now?

Alright, the New York Islanders are a great team, a juggernaut maybe. They looks unstoppable and will sweep every team. There's no way they lay a stinker tonight against my team and give up a touchdown, nope not gonna happen at all.

Oh my! Chris King AND Leah Hextall? You’re cruel.
The league is cruel enough for stealing the broadcast team for national games yet dumping terrible replacements on the Islanders for their national feed games.

Let the jinx thread be about the team playing the Bruins.

Let’s be clear, nowhere is anyone (Isles fans especially) saying the Isles are playing good.

They are saying they are fun to watch. More of in a car chase ending in a crash movie scene sort of way.

Giving up a touchdown is mostly accepted as a very real possibility by Isles fans.

The boring to watch stuff was lazy filler crap anyway
No, they were boring. You’re an isles fan, of course you’re going to have a different perspective being emotionally attached to the results and the players

Lots of neutral fans found them boring because their style was boring, the exceptions being when they were playing sloppier or when a team got a big lead and forced them to open up some.

I compare their style to Dale Hunters coaches Caps. I loved watching that team because it was the Caps, but yea looking back he was one of my least favorite coaches easily. Oates was probably more fun and Oates was bad.

Nope, they are the best team ever and are unstoppable juggernauts. I'll stand my ground and proclaim this to the world for the next 3 1/2 hours until they are doing playing my team then I'll give a more realistic take on the team.

Guys shut up, don't unjinx it until after the 3rd is over lol
