Didn't think this was possible. If anything I thought they'd be using the current Washington Capitals formula to be staying a float in the standings. Another thriller against Boston last night. Much watch hockey right now.
Varlamov has looked like his prime self this year so today you won’t have to worry about his play.I picked them today to win in Montreal. Don't let me down.
They are playing some good hockey for sure. Gone are the days where they would grind away and bore you to death with their low scoring rely on Sorokin style.
Yeah this has been what I've seen. Including the blown leads. Fun to watch.I picked them today to win in Montreal. Don't let me down.

Trotz hockey wasn’t boring some of the game. They just limited the excitement to a very minuscule amount of increments.Anyone still calling them boring aren't watching or paying attention. The defensive style left with Trotz.
I mean they’re not wrong. Oliver Wahlstrom is the epitome of the opposition when playing a Trotz Islanders team. Just looking clueless and hoping the puck lands on his stick in the perfect spot.Trotz hockey WAS boring for Islander opponents and their fans. Islanders under Trotz were the equivalent of the sleeper choke hold. But the Islanders were seemingly still getting the majority of the high danger chances.
So for Isles fans it was plenty fun. But, sorry not sorry it was boring for everyone else.
Anyone remotely suggesting this Isles team is anything like a Trotz team is straight up lying, clueless or both.
Oh I totally agree with opposing fans who dreaded playing the Isles because they were so boring.I mean they’re not wrong. Oliver Wahlstrom is the epitome of the opposition when playing a Trotz Islanders team. Just looking clueless and hoping the puck lands on his stick in the perfect spot.
Those opposing fans despised it because they think roller hockey is exciting. I hate these 5-4 games honestly. It exposes everything when it comes to defensive issues. I’m also a person who wants the clutching and grabbing back as well as the 90s styles enforcers for a pure safety point of view.Oh I totally agree with opposing fans who dreaded playing the Isles because they were so boring.
I just didn’t care, because unlike their team the Isles were getting chances and that was plenty of fun for us.
How are the Isles constantly allowing their opponents (including your Devils) have multiple goal comebacks against them dull? They have been winning a lot of 1 goal games recently with a hot powerplay. They have also been pretty disciplined not taking many penalties. Is it sustainable, who know? I still find them pretty boring to watch, their game just seems slow and dull, however Hickey is pretty good on their broadcasts.
He’s just angry the Islanders have a “backup” who’s better then everyone they’ve had since Martin Brodeur (or Cory Schneider in some cases). How are the Isles constantly allowing their opponents (including your Devils) have multiple goal comebacks against them dull?
You were bored when the Devils came back late in the third for a regulation victory?
Look, when my Devs aren't playing, and I watch a hockey game they are pretty low on my list of teams to watch entertainment wise. That's my opinion, you are free to have yours. That’s fair. I was taking the perspective of an opposing fan watching their team play the Isles.Look, when my Devs aren't playing, and I watch a hockey game they are pretty low on my list of teams to watch entertainment wise. The boring to watch stuff was lazy filler crap anyway
