The new look NHL app is garbage

It actually looks better because someone actually updated it for once. Its gonna take some getting used to at least, but the site isn't stuck in 2014 at least.

i said LOOKS better damnit. The website is even worse, the app is unusable and shows scores the wrong way and there are ads everywhere. Its even worse as a functioning app for sports. at least the MLB app can tell me scores without breaking.

That app has been borderline unusable for several seasons outside of simply checking scores. I can't imagine what they've f***ed up now.

Before the update, you could click "more stats" on the stats page to... check the stats outside the top 10.

Now, I'm not sure if I'm missing something, but seems impossible to check outside the top 40. It's also not in a nice format, you have to scroll to each stats to see the top X, can't just check all of Ovechkin's stats on one line for example.

You could do that already though, no? My app always showed the Habs or Caps as the logo.

I haven't tried the app but the website is atrocious. It was bad before the changes as well but now it just reached another level.

None of the goal clips even work. One of the worst examples of change for changes sake I’ve seen on an app.

I was wondering if that was just me. Without live games being on there anymore, the goal clips was basically all I used. But not at the moment, apparently.

Once regular season starts (idk if training camp is tracked ) I just use the fantasy sites to track stats

People use the NHL app?

It used to be a convenient way to access season tickets.

With the redesign, getting to that same spot requires 4-5 more screens than it used to because they have buried it.

What I think is a bigger issue is that you can't even access players anymore if they're on the team roster page. its actually more frustrating to do that. Are these coders even able to make a website that isn't bloated?

The app looks nicer, but the scoring features were NOT EVEN BROKEN in the first place, why change it? The last one was so streamlined and efficient. I could've just hit the score and it would've dropped down who scored and assisted with a video if I wanted to see it. Now I have to physically enter a game to get a proper look at who scored and assisted. Awful stuff.

It orders the boxscore so weirdly as well. There's no dropdown when you click on the game, you have this small bar that shows the goal scorer, yet you can't see who the player is or how the goal was scored if you click on it.

I used to use the app to see upcoming games. I would swipe day by day to see if there was anything noteworthy coming up to watch. With the new app I tried doing this and it would only allow me to swipe 3/4 days before it would get stuck and not allow me to swipe any further.

So I guess I really have no use for this app anymore. How can you make such a garbage app more garbage?

And the new presentation cuts off the score for the team on the right
