But they can move up quickly with Montreal, Carolina, and Buffalo coming up.

ESPN says L9, as does the AP

I don't care how the NHL and Bruins want to spin it, this is the worst stretch of Bruins hockey in my lifetime.

I'm convinced that very few teams in the league actually tank. Franchise will sell and ice young players, but the players are still busting ass for their spot in the lineup and coaches are coaching to win. But this is looking like a legit tank. Sacco has no prospects to coach anywhere so he's ingratiating himself with the organization, they really don't have much young talent to showcase and their brightest ones (Poitras, Minten, Lysell) are either in Providence or getting scratched. Management is not putting their injured guys on the ice, so basically they've fully and completely stripped it down. Pasta is playing hard, Geekie too, but legit everyone else is giving nothing. I don't think the players intentionally lose but they're being put in a position to secure losses. And your goalie has given up altogether.

I think they're all fully content going winless the rest of the season. The Anaheim Ducks, Buffalo Sabres, and Chicago Blackhawks play out the year trying to get a couple wins for their pride, to give experience to their prospects, and to give hope for next year, the Bruins are giving hope for the future by actively losing to increase their draft spot. They were in 4th in the Atlantic or within 2 points of a wild card for most of the year up to a week after the deadline, at which point they flipped the switch off and are now in line to probably draft 4th overall at the end of the year. That's phenomenal.

If the Bruins get a good draft pick out of this, I give Sacco a consultant job or scouting assignment to keep him on payroll as a reward.

We did but 4 of the 10 were in a shootout.

Looks like it was in a stretch where we lost 15 of a possible 16 games too . Idk how we made the playoffs and had home ice
2010 was a crazy year where almost all the top seeds lost in the first round. Bruins were a 6 seed but wound up hosting 7 seed Philly in round two, and if Richards doesn't break Krejci's wrist, they'd have hosted 8 seed Montreal on the ECF.

I don’t follow. Are you upset they’re losing? I mean, isn’t that the plan? Management wants them to lose games. They spelled it out in January and delivered at the deadline.

Not to answer for Kevin but:
Because it still hurts. We're all "in" on the tank but it doesn't hurt any less.
I've only been a fan for around 55 years but this
is distressing.

That's fair. I guess I'm not feeling the hurt right now because the losses feel intentional. I don't feel like we're desperate to win and just can't. I feel like we are designed to fail. I do feel bad for Pasta, but when I watch a game now it's to hopefully see a young guy like Khustnutdinov or Lysell, maybe see Pasta make a great play, but most importantly, lose. I don't want to see us score until the other team has 2. It took me a few weeks to get there (pre-deadline) but I'm there now.

So to me, this doesn't feel like some hopeless skid. It feels like the first thing that's gone right this season.
