OT: The Music Thread Part Xi

Who has chased away the moonbeams?
Who has pulled a blanket across the sky?
Who will sing in celebration
Throughout this land that's bound to die?

(Great Spirit come) oh, that's bound to die
(Great Spirit come)

Who will put an end to all this sadness?
Who hears the Earth that cries beneath the burning rain?
All truth reduced to piles of greed and madness
The accident remains the same

Mmm, said it's alright, seems okay
Robbery and evil and the stealing
From the body and the mind for the healing
Of the spirit and the pride and the will and the will of the land

(Grace, courage, honesty and love)
(Grace, courage, honesty and love)
There's evil, there's evil, there's evil going on

One of the songs that is always a happy one for me ...Many years ago we used to camp on the Swift River on the Kancamagus Highway in NH and this was our theme song.

Never cared much for camping. Told friends "Cavemen lived that way for centuries. If they came back and had a choice of that or going to my cottage with lights, heat and running water which do you think they'd go for?"
But anyway I have picnicked at the Swift River Covered Bridge in Conway several times.

They have picnic tables on the bridge and a trail goes along the river. Once a found a couple of caveman down by the river and took them back to the cottage to cook their wooly mammoth steaks on the gas grill.

My band just went into the studio this weekend to record our first album; all original rock/soul/funk tunes.

We are a bunch of old guys having fun, and aren't counting on the royalty checks to fund our retirement, but we are having a blast playing shows, writing music and having a good time!
I like that cover art. Perhaps it owes a minor debt to Pink Floyd?

If Marchand stays in FLA, He'll be my second favorite Floridian after Freddy Neil

If I should leave you Try to remember the good times
Warm days filled with sunshine And just a little bit of rain

Remember the grass isn't always greener on the other side

Never thought I'd here a voice like his again, but then Mark Lanegan. Maybe I'll see another Orr if I stick around long enough
