OT: The Music Thread Part Xi

Not a morning person unless it's Sunday

Knew I could just goof off all day with friends

Til about 7 O'Clock when Ma asked "Have you done your homework?" and had a sunken feeling

I saw Jethro Tull at the Garden years ago (the old Garden)

I used to play flute and Ian Anderson was quite good

I’m waiting/hoping for a report on this show. I’m sure it was awesome. There’s very few great bands left and this is one of them!
It was awesome. I’m not a fan of the sound at Gillette. Think they could do better. Brian’s voice is going but thought he got stronger as it went on and can make up for it singing in other ways. He can still go. Matt Laub filling in for Phil Rudd on drums was awesome and Chris Chaney formerly of Jane Addiction did a good job filling in for Cliff Williams on bass. Angus Young is one of the greatest guitarist in music history and there is no one that will ever change my mind. At 70 he still is moving and rocking like he’s younger. They brought it.

Also the Pretty Reckless was the opener and thought they rocked. The girl lead singer Taylor Momsen was the girl who played Cindy Loo Is the Jim Carrey Grinch movie. She grew up to lead a pretty kick ass rock band.
