OT: The Music Thread Part Xi

Is yours similar? By the way, I’m in my own top ten.
I'm sure you are. As it should be.

"The secret is to believe in yourself," as Charlie Chaplin observed.

As for great guitar players, I'm no expert. I know what I like.

Off the top of my head,

👇

Jimi Hendrix
Duane Allman
Chuck Berry
Jimmy Page
Eddie Van Halen
Lindsey Buckingham
BB King

Slash
Brian May
Keith Richards
Pete Townsend
Mark Knophler
Randy Rhoads
Robert Fripp
David Gilmore
Alex Lifeson
James Honeyman Scott

I know he's not on many lists, but I love Steve Jones. Absolutely love his elemental power riffs.

But hey, that's me.

The Texas Jam brings back a lot of memories for me from my high school and college years.....Mainly being drunk on Keystone Light, sweating my ass off in the Cotton Bowl in the middle of a Texas summer, and listening to heavy metal. I went to 2 of them.

Seemed like the lineup every year always had the Scorpions and Van Halen on the bill. Metallica was the best band I saw there. Right in their prime around the Master of Puppets-And Justice for All timeframe.

Solid. I’m sure it’s obvious by my selection what kind of music I like so I’m slightly biased.
