Stay positive!

Thanks to the Musicians who showed up for this concert to aid the folks affected by this terrible fire. Some of my favorites (who are in their 70s and 80s)
showed up

Loved seeing Stills (who is mostly deaf and 80) , with Mike Campbell). Also, Graham Nash with Stills (it was a long time since they played together).

Rod Stewart did well for 80.

They used Warren Zevon's "Hold me in your heart for A while" which is a killer for me. Lovely song...makes me cry.

Sting's Fragile was beautiful.

Thanks for sharing...only disappointment ... Sting only not the Police. But so great to see all these musicians come to help.

Wrote the lyrics to this which were to become a self-prophecy

I was still far from becoming a junkie. "Sister Morphine" was in my head - my feelings about what it might be like to be an addict.. By 1972, when it came out on [The Rolling Stones'album] 'Sticky Fingers', I was the character in the song. You have to be very careful what you write because it's a gateway, and whatever it is you've summoned up may come through..' 'Faithfull, an autobiography', 1994, Marianne Faithfull

She never should have met, or evinced any interest, in Mick.

She would not, of course, have become the singular artist she did if that had been the case.

I think she would have been happier.

Marianne surely addressed this at some point. What did she say?
