OT: The Music Thread: Part X

Was there anything in the movie about the supposed Donovan "rivalry"? It was a supposed thing for a couple years in the mid sixties. A couple of my brothers were Dylan disciples, a couple of us thought Donovan was a "Sunshine Superman" . But not so much a thing as the "fan" magazines of the day tried to play up.

Dylan was so full of himself and at the same time so insecure it would not surprise me if he felt threatened by Donovan.

The only thing I know for sure is that in the wake of "Yellow Mellow," many a dopey teen sought to get high by smoking banana peels.

I kid you not.

Kind of like the Beatles being threatened by Freddy and the Dreamers.
