Some Duets for the Annals:

Would have paid massive coin to see that live. Just amazing energy and tension!

Love me some Bruce.

RESPECT of Denver for Johnny on the 2nd verse singing to his octave - just RESPECT like Aretha Franklin would say...

Best hands down duo of their era (or perhaps any.)

30 years before unplugged, it was all there! Love the emotion and storytelling.

Do you want a slice with that?? OMFG how is it possible that talent was playing for tips in a Utah Pizza Joint. The world we live in....

Petty with "Muddy" Stills

A couple of my favorites. Steve Stills has had issues with his hearing all of his life. I read that it was getting worse.

"Rock & Roll Icon Stephen Stills Talks About How Hearing Aids Alleviate His Lifelong Hearing Loss. Unlike many rock musicians whose first deafness was a direct result of constant exposure to too-loud music, Stills was diagnosed at nine years old with a slight hearing loss in one ear."

felt in the Waits mood this morning

nice cover from Norah Jones

Almost impossible to pick a favorite here. Just a truly fantastic original, but then an equally fantastic cover.

Both versions have given me great happiness over the years.

He was. He died young (54). Another that smoking took too soon.
Was going to like, but....., you know.

Sometimes I think we need an "I agree" button.

A legendary voice from London's swinging sixties scene

No 1 in UK 1966 produced by Mick Jagger. Looks like one of my old high school dances.

First to record this song in 1967 which was given to him by Manfred Mann's lead singer

For Marriott and Lane

Good mornin' jury, 45 million reasons in Texas this morning to say this...

'and they called me a man cause I couldn't keep my big,big mouth shut"

Got caught doin' this too many times smart Alex

Furry Lewis with Leon Russell & Dickie Betts in attendance.
He could be Dickie Betts twin but that's Don Nix who was a songwriter/producer who had teamed up with Leon during the Shelter people days and was friends with Furry

Wrote this song and produced it with Leon for Freddie King
