The most "This is over before it's actually over" series in the last few years.

Sorry Leaf fans, but not too many people are believing the Leafs are coming back even though it's 3-2.

Has there been a series with more of a sense that there is no way a team can win than this one in the past few years?
On the flip side, although they did win in 6, I've never had a stronger sense of a 3-0 comeback being possible as I did when they were up 3-0 against the Senators.

Oh it is over. If the Leafs manage to comeback it is such a massive choke job by the Panthers. Like a toddler beating you in chess when you were a move away from checkmate. That's how unlikely it is.

Leafs will win Game 6 cause they have to lose in 7, it's the law.

Joking aside, Just this year Winnipeg-Dallas has felt over since Game 1. Perhaps even before the puck dropped in Game 1 since the Jets barely got thru Round 1 (and yes I know the Jets have won one game, but it just feels like they're delaying the inevitable).

With the Leafs I didn't feel it it was over (and it was dead man walking) until they lost in OT in Game 3.
Not so fast there buddy. Dallas is in big trouble IF the Jets force game 7 with a big road win Saturday night. And they know it.

Seconding Canes/Devils this year. No Jack Hughes or NHL-worthy talent on the bottom six meant a short series. They played hard, I'll give them that, and I feel better about their chances now than I did at the start of the playoffs. But hard work will only get you so far.

To anyone who saw it, 100% the 2002 Wings/Canucks series.

Canucks were somehow up 2-0 as massive underdogs and going home with the Wings on the ropes.

Then, the worst playoff goalie I've ever seen does this:

Wings proceed to absolutely demolish Canucks and win the next four games.

Sorry to ruin your fun but did you watch Game 6 last night?

Kings-Oilers 24-25

Game 1, 3rd period.
I don’t think so. Due to injuries the oilers themselves didn’t know what they had going into the playoffs. The first time we played with a healthy roster all year was game 2 of the series.

We had a lot of rust to shake off and they did shake it off and didn’t look back since game 3. But until that point it was very much in doubt that the oilers would win.

Boston vs. Florida, 2023 playoffs.
Marchand's breakaway, oh lord.
