Go Habs Go
I only saw him play one game so far, but I will be closely watching him going forward. I thought he was moving well for such a big kid, since at 18 and being that large it has to take some serious coordination to move like he does.
I don't know what he was like in his early teens, or by how much his mass/height increased year over year but I know that some kids that age that haven't been as heavy for that long tend to struggle adjusting to the increase in mass. But the important thing is now how much he improves over the next 5 years, as what he did or didn't do in the past won't matter much at this point if he can't progress. But if does show good progress year over year, yikes the Habs could finally have a big body that has skill and a willingness to exert his large frame against any and all that stand in his way.
For other posters giving posters a hard time for being over zealous, try to keep in mind that the draft just took place (think christmas time)and the kids are still gleaming over their shinny new toys. For me I am excited to see what he can do, and based off the little I have seen so far, I can see why the Habs took a chance on him and I see how greatly the need for a player like him in that we should fully expect to see fans of this team go overboard for him because if he pans out he brings something the club has lacked for a very long time and it's been a sore need.
Going to be a lot of fun watching him at London next year, hope he has a good camp for the US team and a good showing at the Memorial Cup.

Seriously, I strongly doubt that McCarron will be nearly as bad as the ponderous, slow moving WHL stiffs Serge Savard drafted for the Habs. Who knows, he might prove to be a pillar of strength.
